Taking the Brexit

Love that British sky. It essentially is black and white.
Black and white, but the EU flags in colour. This will be Deep and Meaningful and a Metaphor.
I'd go with colour. To me, that looks better.
The colour works well because of the Euro flags... but B&W looks better overall.

Hope that helps :D
So interesting to see the data presented in this way

https://www.livefrombrexit.com/petitions/241584
That really is interesting, thanks.
What's wrong with the Midlands? I thought it was the North East that was most Pro-Brexit.
36% of a constituency's electorate signing a petition is pretty impressive.

It's worth bearing in mind though that constituencies had no bearing on the referendum, which was purely a count of individual voters across the country. Still fascinating though, e.g. when viewed as the percentage of electorate, the constituency with the highest signature-count but which voted leave is ranked 123 (Eltham).

The people I argue with on Facebook about Brexit tend to be Leave voters from the Midlands.

I realised something the other day - three of my previous bosses all voted Leave (and all live in the Midlands too). IT Management must do something to people. :)

I've got to admit that even though I usually don't care about much and see it all as a big joke, and, really couldn't give a crap about anything much any more, this bitch is seriously beginning to worry me. My analogy may be miles off, but she reminds me of a certain idealist from the 1940s sporting a moustache.

How can you be so deluded, and so narcissistic that you could try and force your bad idea on an entire country, and literally stick your fingers in your ears and go "la la la" whilst the entire country is screaming at you?

I mean ffs, even the Brexiteers are pissed off.

Now this part may annoy those who care more than I do, but the shit show has been quite spectacular for a spectator like me. I never thought I'd be glued to the news every day watching it all unfold and indeed unravel.

Gallows humour is the only thing keeping me going through this at the moment.

I'm amazed they haven't called in Jerry Springer tbh.

How embarrassing. Really.
Nottingham East quite low down on there. 8.6k signatures.
At 115, it's Banbury. 11,155 signatures at time of writing.
Truro and Falmouth ahead at position 101 with 11,716.
Coming on strong in 620th, is my 'home' constituency of Middlesbrough (Voted leave 66%) with 4.4% of the voting population signing.
For me it's: Number 274 - Lancaster and Fleetwood VOTED LEAVE 52% (EST.)

I’d say even more noticeable than the Midlands trend is the east side of England trend.

Also surprised at Cannock Chase as their MP is Green Party and I thought that most Green voters trended remain.
The only time Corbyn will ever be at number 10:

Not sure where you got that from Mimi, Caroline Lucas is the only Green MP and she represents one of the Brighton seats. According to that website Amanda Milling: CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY: 8,391 represents Cannock Chase. Perhaps they have Green councilors?
Well I must say I am surprised that nowhere near me is on that list. I've yet to meet some one pro Euro down here yet.

Jeez, yes, I don’t know why I said that at all. You’re completely right. I meant a lot of green counsillors in that area, Hednesford, etc. One of them is a friend of mine so I don’t know why I wrote that. My head is all over the place. Nerp.

Doesn't annoy me - I'm the same. I'm at the point where I get twitchy if been away from the news for more than an hour, in case I miss something important happening.

Yeah that's it exactly. I find myself continually picking up my phone.
Let me get this straight, the Tories are being whipped not to vote for the current amendment, on the promise that if they don't vote for it the Tories will raise their own amendment to do the same thing, which they will be allowed to vote for.

Correct. Also, I’ve just realised that about the only thing that hasn’t happened in brexit yet is Theresa May resigning the whip because she disagrees with the policies of the government.

£5 on Thursday
Amendment passed, that has to be the end of May, hasn't it? She can't even whip her own party to allow the government to keep control of the house.
30 Tories voted to take back control. Blimey.
Ominously, the app says the split was 52-48.
Bercow just went rogue

“The honourable member was once a whip... he wasn’t a very good one...”

In before Kern.
That was quite something to witness.
I’ve gone back to the parliament channel as this is still running and think it may for some time...
So is Oliver Letwin PM now? That's how it works, right?
I know it is nothign new, but I am confused with what is going on..

Can some one explain in layman terms..
Parliament has taken back control and the people demanding that Parliament take back control don't like it!
This would be an ideal opportunity for me to dust off all those old university notes on Arrow's impossibility theroem, but I sent them to the recycling centre a long, long time ago.

Oh dear.
I never realised being in the EU was preventing us from having coach tours. I think, however, we are all very distrustful of buses now, especially red ones.
