I've acquired a 75mm Gatling, which appears to be slightly better than my pea shooter, but it seems to need ammo. Small hybrid charges. I'm confused. Presumably I buy it and... mount it to the gun somehow?

Yep, buy them and keep them in your cargo bay. You can manually drag them to the gun in the ship equipment screen, but you don't need to as it'll autoload as long as you have some in cargo. Do get the right type, or you won't be able to use them.

Post subject:  Re: EvE Online

Yes, just drag it on, or put it in your cargo bay and the gun will load automatically.

Ok, I'm getting to work here, steadily buying shit and doing a few missions. Managed to fuck up by buying a tech manual, realising I didn't need it because I already had one, tried to sell it back and ended up selling BOTH, losing so much money in the process that I couldn't afford to then buy another one back. Won't make that mistake again.

Oh, and I now have a 'condor', whatever that is.

As soon as Grim... funds the startup operation, I have the skills to put BeeX Corp. in to action. I even remembered to skill up letting other races in.

I am, therefore, acebest.

For all you doubters, there is a 14 day trial, remember.

You KNOW you want to.

It turns out my pc should be able to run this comfortably now (albeit only when I get a hard drive that isn't 70% full after installing an OS and firefox).

I won't give the trial a go now, not least because I've got to find somewhere to live first, but if yo ulot are still going in a month or two I may join you for a week or two. You have two weeks to make an MMPORMGRPG fun! Ultra-challenge!

A vondor is a caldari frigate that is quite quick, IIRC.

I want to playa gain, but if I did probably couldn't be in the BessieCorp as I'm -9.8 or something (Look up Malicious Afterthought in game for a citation).

Fitting ships is limited by Powergrid and CPU. You can train skills to increase these, or decrease the fitting requirements of ships.

Press F10 to bring up the starmap, then there is an option to 'Show agents available to me' or somesuch, so you can go missioning. Ignore this shit and head to low sec space and fuck someone's day up, man.

Also, in mission running hubs, set up a buy order for asteroid ore, as the mission running carebears require it for shiny goodness, whic means you can sell it back to them for muchos profit.

Google shattered crystal fo cheap game time cards.

Don't forget to update your clone and fly safe, pilot, even if you are caldari scum.

Also looking forward to amssive emorage when you get podded 'for no reason'

Well I've got the Bantam that Sheepeh gave me last night in dock, without much of a clue what to do with it. It was supposed to autopilot home overnight but when I logged back in this morning the damn thing was just floating in space.

I'm currently looking at what few upgrades I can afford so I can learn things faster. Someone told me that if you dock in a specialist place, like a War Academy, then skills learned along those lines would be learned faster. Is this true?

Also Sheep, if you're watching, feel free to send along any of those handy tools you mentioned :)

Not in the slightest. The only thing that effects learning time is attributes.

Also, train the skills up that lets you do the most things at present. Don';t get bogged down in the 'Learning' skills, as that doesn't let you fly bigger and better ships, does it?

Whilst I think of it, a quick way to get money is to go to an asteroid belt where there are miners mining into 'jet cans'. These are containers that you can fly up to, remove the contents of, and then fly away with it. You can then sell it. Be aware that doing this means that they, or their corporation can attack you, so be quick and careful whilst doing it, and the timer is 15 minutes.

EDIT: Just rememebred that a rocket Kestral frigate with a warp disrupter and an armor plate sued to be absolutely fucking baddass at ruining other frigate's days. Dunno how viable it is now though.

Shit, I want to resub now.

The game is telling me it wants 1.6 mil.

I have the skills trained and ready to roll but it keeps telling me request denied. I assume it's because I'm poor.

@ Mali - you could start a 14 day trial account to have a look-see? I understand you might not want to start again though.

@ Gnomes - one nice tool is EvEMon. Follow the instructions and it'll link itself to your EvE account, displaying all your character details. You then can browse plans for ships, loadouts, etc on the website and when you click them it'll tell you how to achieve them, what to train when, what to buy, etc. It'll also remind you when your skill training is complete even if you're not in game so you can fire it up and start off another one. Amongst other things. It's worth an explore.

I have absolutely no idea. I'm not overly sure it really matters, does it? I'm based in and around Kakakela, but I can move.

Yeah, I misremembered how much it was. Long time off since I last did it. I think. Or did I?

I would resub and log in, but with ongoing router problems up here and a computer that is in bits upstairs, I don't think i can, that and the time issue.

Also, turn 'Auto target back' to zero, just in case a player targets you and you target them back and have a gun about to fire, as then you will get Concordokken'd.

Ctrl + click on overview, or in space will target something, and if a ship has yellow brackets around it on the overview, it has you targetted.

The mission was a Frigate only mission, and I fly an Omen...I fitted it from parts that happened to be at BeeXHQ. Besides, it dealt out a far amount of damage and was pretty sturdy - it did it's job. Also managed to keep up with Grim...'s ship in a play 1v1 PvP, to the point we both agreed it'd be very very very close.
