In fairness, we don't know too much about him and what he was like before, and people do do odd things when they are mega stressed and the like. I don't think it's to do with the amount of money involved, maybe the relative proportions.

Fair comment

I think they said he was a substantially dodgy character with respect to his business dealings ("not to be trusted" was the quote), and seemingly something of a fantasist, telling people he was the target of a vendetta and blackmail and so on.

Well, he was trapped in that he wasn't allowed to sell the massive mansion, probably went nuts behind that. Doesn't excuse it at all though, sound like he shot his child and the animals and burnt the place down basically because he wasn't getting his way any more.

It's like a news hotline here at work today. Rod said (and Rod's word is god to me because he knows everything and everyone) that his friend was in the fire team that went to the guy's place first and they couldn't get through the gate as there was a huge horse box in front of it with the tyres slashed open so they took some time getting in.

Man, that guy was seriously warped in the mind. I can understand if he shot just himself, but to kill his wife and kid and all the animals aswell? That's just nut job all over, I don't care if he was at the end of his tether, you don't take it out on everyone else.

Rod's just repeating what he heard confirmed officially on BBC News 24 on Saturday. And that (plus the bullet casings etc) was reported on national news, Radio 1 I think, as "not confirmed by police" from day one. He doesn't actually know anyone in the fire team, trust me.

BBC.CO.UK is your friend.

I have some Latin/Afro-cuban drum beat in my head. Unfortunately I can't figure out which one it is, so I can't listen to it to exercise the demons. ARGH.

Normally people want their demons exorcised, keeping them healthy is above and beyond the call.

Now I have an awesome mental image of some tiny fat demons on treadmills inside Pod's head. "*puff* Just wait, you *pant* cunt! As soon as *wheeze* you let us off, we're moving onto Spice Girls *wretch*"

Well, it is a rather racy rhythm! I imagine from all the dancing they're doing they'd be very well exercised.

He asked 'Do cats like milk/should they drink it?'

So I nearly broke my ankle running to the phone!!haha. And he had me on for 5 mins and I was saying that 'I don't agree with giving cats milk as it gives them digestion problems, a little is okay but they really shouldn't have it.'

Then he said that all the cartoons and stuff had them drinking milk on them and I explained that in early months they should be given cats milk which can be bought from most places now as this is the natural substitute for their mums milk, he tried to dispute that, I said 'They don't exactly drink cravendale from their mums do they? So when they leave their mothers they need something that's the same-exactly the same for babies if you don't breast feed, they have a similar feed'

Anyway-I could go on all day about it so I'll leave it there-

Apparently I sound very good on the radio (have the face for it!heh) which is nice to know :)

But you have a fast motorcycle.

No worries, I found a spare in my 'Misc. Keys' box. Hurrah.

Also, I need to get a replacement degree certificate, by Monday, which is a pain in the arse, as it takes up to 15 days to get one. Shitfucks.

Just read through about 4 pages of BnB here.

Some very good comments on some of the previous pages. They amused me. I will not, however, reveal which posts amused me, to keep you all on your toes.

Though I am, of course, a sucker for a good any polar bear stock picture gag.

Shit, I can't get free tickets for Travis (tried to pull a few favours as we do garments for the music hall e.t.c) so it'll be 35.00 to go to the quarry and see it...seriously weighing up whether to go or not now. If it was something like Linkin Park then I'd be camping there now-am I being stingey?

Duds-I thought that moments after posting actually. I lose everything in my place. Although once I lost my keys and they were in the cat box?!

Moneysavingexpert specifically forbids paying 35 quid to see Travis.

they're not wrong.

The thing is Pru and Matt are going and they want me to go

I'll be the third wheel I know I will because they are driving me mad with their 'stop being meaaan' and play fighting with each other which drives me up the bloody wall-just get on with it and fuck each other so we don't have to do this anymore please?! I actually said that on Sunday to Pru. We all went for lunch at the Beaten Track before going to the cinema-Gaz actually came along aswell *le gasp* and it was mucho embaressing for me to bring astute Mr.Griffiths amongst my manic clan :/

Anyway-I digress...so 35.00 to see Travis=bad idea?

Gaz-you can't lock yourself in yours anyway, you have one if those doors that doesn't allow you to do that, mine isn't like that-I can lock myself in

I actually wouldn't mind having 30 cats in a rickety old barn house type-thing, I'd love that

Coupled with a bottle of gin in one hand, kitty treats in the other and a shot gun propped against my rocking chair

There are more Greggses in Bristol per head of population than anywhere else I've ever been. And despite that there's still a 10 mile queue outside each of them every lunctime.

Seriously people. Salads once in a while wouldn't hurt, you fat ugly spotty greasy mingers.

Keep telling yourself that Chris. How long it take to get to the front of the queue?

I was running past them all today, the bloaters. I then had a couple of apples when I got back from my run and felt dead virtuous.

Running! That was it, I've almost forgotten what it was like.

To my shame I'm going to have to defer my GNR place, on grounds of being fat and lazy.
