Must admit I would never want to have a shower and no bath. Can't beat a nice hot soak when needed.

My estate agent was so impressed with the shower in the house that about half the listing is taken up with shower praise.

Yurp. Unless I stay in this job in which case I could well be living in Hong Kong for 6 months starting about then, so there's that, too.

Cheers for that.. some good games in that lot. Optimistically, I tried installing the Capsule Client and the game under Ubuntu using WINE but it didn't work, so I'll just need to remember to install it when I'm next in Windows. :)

I saw this awesome movie last night: It's set in a run down city with total lawlessness. There are armed gangs of Somalians roaming the streets. The authorities have lost control. There is a helicopter crash and the pilot is killed. Bodies in the street, burning wreckage and roads blocked.

It was on BBC News 24.

I don't think you can blame the the helicopter crash on Cameron.

half tenappears to be the optimum time to walk your staffordshire bull terrier off the lead whilst you swig from a tin of Stella. Really want to move now. The chavs down the end of the road don't clean up after their dogs and are horrible.

EDIT: Although if I wasn't at home, I wouldn't have seen it.

ZOMG Singapore is awesome. Just had an ace evening wandering around Orchard Road after I got over the ZOMGitude of the St Regis hotel (thank fuck everything is getting charged to the company here instead of coming off my £40 per diem - the laundry is £4 for a pair of socks! The coffee is £8! A sandwich is £15! I'm eating in the food courts and hawkers though)

Beer is silly spenny in the bars, not so bad in the food courts, and downright reasonable from the 7/11 kiosk down the road. And the DVD player in the giant home cinema in my swanktastic room works, after I put the composite cables back in the right way and smacked the Bose system a few times. It's a shame I can't pipe it to the TV in the bathroom. hang on, maybe I can...

I'm actually a little intimidated by the hotel, and I don't think I will be going to the bars in here. Not least as it's £7 for a small bottle.

Dinner in the food court was ace - rice and chicken and ribs and stuff, in a hot clay pot, and some random-ass pink drink with what I think were black balls of semolina in the bottom.

I got lost in the basement of this mall for about an hour:

There's also a random ass behind the random-ass pink drink, it seems. I'm not one of those people, really I'm not.

Mr Kissyfur, you were lost in the food court in Ion. Probably.

Get yourself over to the Cathay shopping centre in Dhoby Ghaut where you can eat a bacon bomb - layers of bacon wrapped around itself until you have a solid ball of bacon.

Also try Howling at the Moon in Emerald Hill, just off Orchard Road by Somerset MRT - cool place to sit outside, or go inside to listen to duelling pianos.

That was the food court in the Lucky Mall, or somesuch. It was ace.

I will try the two you suggest, though. I've got a long weekend, and shit stays open late here.

Now THAT sounds like fun & games a-plenty. Am I also remembering rightly that the rest of China drives on the right, and as you enter Hong King you have to swap over for super-confusing funtimes?

Sort of, but Hong Kong is an island that doesn't have a bridge to the mainland.

Oh wait, no it isn't. So yes, probably.
