It happened to all the multi-storey car parks around here. A few of them had long-winded re-engineering work done (as far as I could tell, they propped up the roof on each floor and completely replaced the supporting pillars one by one). I'd imagine that wasn't cheap. One of them was torn down altogether, which I guess confirms it can't be a cheap process.

As someone who sometimes drives into London from the west, I'm sure I'll be cursing this news in the near future.

Ah. Apparently the Hammersmith Flyover is reopen with one lane in either direction and no coaches or HGVs allowed. I'd still avoid it like the plague though due to the volume of traffic.

Fact: Airsoft makes for a tremendous date experience, especially if it's urban airsoft so she doesn't have to wear camo gear. You know what you have to do. You just need to make sure you at least let her shoot you once more than you shoot her throughout the day.

I've investigated a different route which for me is actually quicker having used it twice in the last fortnight. I'm not sure what junction number it is, but it's pretty much alongside Heathrow and I take the exit for the A312 to Harrow and Southall I think it's called, but it's definitely the A312. You follow this for about 2-3 miles crossing several roundabouts until you see signs for the A40, which you then turn off to join, heading East. The A40 is the road that eventually turns into the Westway/Marylebone/Euston Rd coming into London. So if you're coming into central London it actually feels faster than the M4>A4 into Hammersmith. Problem solved.

It's all to do with meeting the Great Deadline for everything that has happened in London for the past 7 years, the Olympics.
