I’m exhausted after that, I’m so glad Foundry is automating a lot of the combat mechanics for me because that would have been loads to keep track of otherwise! Long combat but amazingly you all stayed up again. Zardoth tanked so much damage for everyone as a bear and then a giant toad, sorry you didn’t get to swallow anyone despite repeated attempts
Myptik’s sleep spell almost completely nullified the action economy of the goblin army in the first wave. Ivo’s shield stopped him going down and rolling death saves and possibly even being dead for good. Those hobgoblins were big hitters and if they’d landed all attacks that should have without shield, you’d have been in a really tough spot. Shuu was a maniac with his Scimitar during the first wave and I loved the visual of the eldritch blasts and fireballs wizzing past his head as his cloak billowed while he spun round slicing through goblins left and right. Finally, Ermintrude; stationed at the door killing everyone who tried to enter until finally getting exasperated at a full round of everyone else failing to hit the Goblin captains, so running round the whole outside of the room to come back in the other door and kill both of them
The Foundry modules automating some of the rolls/saves and having all of the actions/stats/spells close to hand meant I could devote more brainpower to trying to play the enemies tactically and make use of all of their special abilities and it was good to see how annoying goblins can be when they attack, disengage, retreat, then attack again.
