Not generally, no. ;)

I'd be happy with 3 Count Bout, Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury 2, some King of Fighters, that one that's not Pulstar, Viewpoint...
Oh, forgot all about Viewpoint. That'd be worth a play. Windjammers too, if only for the novelty of a frisbee-based video game. That isn't Discs of Tron. Which perhaps doesn't count.

Must admit, though, that I want a Neo Geo largely so I can have a Neo Geo.
Me too, point was that I'd struggle to name many games for it, let alone many that are well-respected and I'd probably like. :) I do own the Neo Geo compilation for the Wii, SNK Arcade Classics, and have to admit I literally only have played Metal Slug on it, which was for me worth the price of purchase alone. Maybe I'll try the others tomorrow if I have time.

You can get a newer version cheaper on the 360, but it isn't quite as good. Beautiful Katamari. If I recall, it was a complete game, then Namco gutted it and re-added all of the levels as expensive DLC. The absolute cretins.

I had Beautiful Katamari, I didn't really care for it all that much. Maybe it was because I'd read so many people raving about the PS2 version of Damacy, and maybe because it didn't give me enough level variety early on, but I didn't get much out of that game at all.

It definitely wasn't as good as the PS2 games. It lost some of its charm, and it was a really bare-bones thing compared to the previous offerings. Extremely lazy/cynical all round really. I too was disappointed. But, assuming the PS2 games are mega expensive now, it's still worth a purchase for cheapy cheap, because it's still essentially the same game.

Oh, true. Shouldn't do (as in forget), really, seeing as I had an Atari Lynx.

Come to think of it, Wii Sports Resort has a frisbee sub-game too.

The BMX thing on Lynx California Games is one of my most-played things ever. Loved the tricks you could do on that.

Don't remember frisbees in it though - was that only in non-handheld versions?

:DD

The forms got sent off to Customs on Monday, they should've arrived Tuesday morning so the wait should soon be over. My God, this has been so expensive... it wasn't so bad when I actually bid for the thing on eBay, but shipping pushed it to "HOW FUCKING MUCH???" territory and now Her Majesty's Customs & Excise are about to give me the bum-raping of my life, in a purely financial sense. Those that know what it is keep reminding me that it's pretty awesome though.

As for the tenuous link to gaming, the object (actually, it's a couple of objects, but one main one) is not a console, or an accessory, or a game, but it is an object that has been in at least 4 games I can think of, two of which are fairly recent titles. I should probably add that it's also been in two movies, so I guess the dick-knife from SE7EN isn't totally out there as guesses go, but it's not that.

You're all going to be so disappointed once it arrives and you see what it is. I've built this up waaaaay too much.

Nope, but there's an iOS version that's all kind of aces.

You might be able to get it if you register another Xbox ID and set your country as the US. That worked for some of the US-only XBLA content but I don't know if it'll work for Games on Demand.

The other problem is some of the location aware stuff (like the issues Nickachu had with the map packs) - I think its probably not going to work

However you do know there is a US disk version

http://www.amazon.com/You-Dont-Know-Jac ... B00498PSZQ

However it seems it *is* region locked

http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Region_Free_Xbox_360_Games

So the long answer is buy an *american* 360 and the game :-)

Or buy a PS3 and the game(*) as no PS3 games are region locked

So anyway, DavPaz already guessed what the ridiculous contraption with the very, very tenuous links to gaming is. But did you?

As I was saying only a moment ago to the new incumbent Lady Zio, if the 5 year old me could jump in a time machine and zip 27 years into the future, he'd be fucking impressed. The 32 year old me, on the other hand, is thinking such things as "where will it go?" and "what the fuck have I done?".

Fortunately, she appears to be finding the whole affair hilarious and hasn't actually dumped me over it yet. The fool!
