See the second bit, I guess

Quote:
How much food should I bring?
Enough for yourself, and four other people. Go by what you eat, for example, if you would eat two burgers, bring ten burgers in total.

We're coming up on the Friday* and they wanted £46-50 per night, so booked into the Bedford Swan for £13 more overall. Seems quite nice, but we'll see!

*we're gonna spend the day in London if anyone wants a drink or something. I imagine the trains back run reasonably late?

Trains run all night from St. Pancras - go up the escalator to get the train. Bedford is (almost certainly) the last stop, so don't worry about missing it.

The Swan is quite nice - it's by the river.

Excellent, ta.

One more question: if we buy/make some food at home, any chance we could drop it off at yours on the Friday?

Turns out Mrs T is on a course that day, so i'll be coming on my lonesome and Mrs T will most likely pop over for a drink later in the evening and to give me a ride home :)
I'll still bring Mrs T's food allocation though, to keep it all simple.

If you want to swap the potato salad with someone else, feel free.

Also, to anyone that's coming but told me about it after I allocated the food, just bring "something".

You can arrive when you like (in the afternoon), but the BEEXBEEQUEUE will be lit at around 3pm, so you probably want to have had lunch.

Ah, right. I'll turn up sometime between 1 and 3 then.

Is parking an issue?

I am looking forward to this. Also, will be preparing some different types of potato salad, for shits and giggles (though hopefully not actually the former).

Effing arsebiscuits, the trains from London Bridge to Bedford don't run at the weekend. That is most troublesome, as it will involve a combination of Baby and The Tube; something we had been planning on avoiding at all costs.

I haven't looked but that is possibly the same problem.

How about new cross-overground to north London then change there?

I was contemplating going but now my sister is visiting, so no lift from me I'm afraid.

You can go from Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars, Farringdon, City Thameslink, St Pancras, or West Hampsted Thameslink.
St Pancras is by far the fastest, with the quickest trains taking around 40 minutes (the rest will take about an hour and twenty minutes).

Yeah, we'll just get the tube to St Pancras and hope the baby doesn't explode mid-journey.
