Ok, ok, fair enough, not a Nazi symbol.
Knights Templar, though?
The best jumpers are the ones you have to explain.

No no no - that's
women.
The best jumpers are women? Sally Gunnell was pretty good at it, I suppose.

This.
My favourite line is this, and I'm sad it was never expanded on.

At this point I admitted defeat. I had a desultory play of the game on Steam, but my Xbox 360 PC controller was recently destroyed in an unfortunate incident and it was no fun with the arrow keys. And then fate intervened.
Maybe he'll reveal all in a separate column!
Hmmm... three pints of a friend's homebrew before lunch seemed like a good idea at the time.

He does make several good points though. Having to download massive patches to your new games and games not automatically installing are two of them.

The former fair enough, but I don't get the latter. Games not automatically installing? I don't always want my games to automatically install once I've bought them, otherwise my hard drive would be full...
He just seems permanently bewildered these days.
You can invariably just download the patch in the background, play the game and then install it once it's finished downloading. It really is a complete non-issue for anyone who hasn't already decided that they want to have an awful time just so they can whinge about it.
It's all the English's fault, too.
That said, all that stuff about it having to download new runtimes and it not downloading it properly because an old version was there already or whatever he was bleating on about - that's not stuff that any games console owner should need to dick about with.
Anyone else listening to cabin pressure? It's the first half of the finale tonight.
I have been on holiday since 5 pm! Hurrah!

I just don't see why games need to install separately anyway? They don't on the Xbox 360. On that console you can download something and play it as soon as it's done. There's no need for a separate install.
Yes, that was one of the rubbish things about the PS3. All fixed in the PS4.

I have worked, I have been to the pub, I have come home.
Gammon is being turned into ham.
Feet up. Coffee.
I am still at the pub. Curio could hand been here but isn't, the loser.
It's a bit warm here in Kent isn't it.
We went to the pub and are going to tuck into Ham of Green Gables later.
Does anyone actually like Mrs Brown's Boys?
Nobody at all.
It's a weird, government-run social experiment.
We were given a dvd of it which even the charity shop wouldn't take wrapped.

I can save on transport costs..
My parents allegedly do. It's a source of eternal family shame.

My ex-in laws do as well. Fuck those guys though.
I do. It's better than (insert hipster sitcom that Myp likes, probably that one about big, slightly posh woman or some other shite).

There's no aspect of this post about which you shouldn't be utterly embarrassed.

Phew! Big car is on the road and little car on drive. (Our house is 8 feet or so below the road) so we can still drive places. Like to buy more coal. And beer. Anyway, snow. I hate it. All those happy children.

We have snow. MrsA thinks she is the arbiter of snow. Reminds me of when I lived in East Berlin. I left the flat with my mother on boxing day and said it was snowing. She said the state radio forecast was rain. We argued about it for a while but then we saw a party official we knew called Rudi at the S bahn stop. Mother asked him as flakes clumped around us. He said it was raining. I began to protest about this blatant bit of state propaganda but she pulled me up short and hissed into my ear "Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear"

Doing my annual download of all my data on sinister Facebook. Someday a future biographer might want to know which pub I was in one day in spring 2007, after all.
Trying to write a blatant rip-off of Curio's Cottage Quiz New Year's Eve quiz for my friends. Is it actually possible to do a music round without either giving the name of the song away or being far too cryptic for a group of drunken 20-and-30 somethings in the dying hours of a year?
Monday morning and I'm working from hom today. Christmas already feels like a long time away. Still, off tomorrow and New Year's Eve.
I'm in work this morning which I don't mind too much.
I'll get quite a bit done, and won't need to do a full day.
I'm at work too but there's nothing to do. Going to try to squeeze a few more game completions in the 52 competition.
I'm at work. It is boring, but at least not too busy.
I got back to Sweden yesterday, it's -26°C. Urgh.
I'm merging Virtual Machine snapshots at the mo.
In a bit I may go and vacuum the server room.
