Some scrotum keyed our Ka last night. Haven't the heart to tell Mrs Bulge. She'll notice it eventually I guess. We really need to move soon. Definitely moving before I get a new car.

This is part of the reason I have a crappy car. Can't wait to move myself!

Fortunately the Ka is rubbish as well! It won't make it through the MOT next year so it only has about 9 months left. But still! It's her car as well so it angers me even more. :(

I mean, it'd annoy me if it were my own car, but, you know what I mean!

Brilliant. Fair play to the guy, he loves the original (and the remake) and you can see that passion dripping in every video/interview he does.

The morning after Jen had just moved into a new flat in Glasgow six years ago, we came out in the morning to find the close door and the car had been graffieted. Is that how you spell that? I doubt it, it looks wrong. Anyway, yeah. That was weird. That was in Dennistoun.
Another time, we woke up to find burnt out cars sitting upside down on our street. Turned out that was for a film shoot though. That film where they put a wall up on the border and people live in gangs or something? Think it was the people who made dog soldiers, not sure though and I've never seen it.

Really? Because he explains it to those people like a 'bro' who's just been introduced to the game himself.

Lol I know, it was a bit of a culture shock for Jen since she'd lived, worked, studied and played in the west end for her entire four years in Glasgow prior to that.

Really? He pretty much describes how X-COM is (or rather, should be) to people who are used to modern games. The whole "you can play for 10 hours and then lose" thing just isn't something most gamers are prepared to deal with these days, so the fact that he's trying to sell it based on that is amusing and interesting.

Have you seen any of the other interviews and videos he's done? The man's a machine, he's been full on for the last few weeks about the game, and you can tell it's no PR bullshit, he genuinely wants to release an X-COM game worthy of the original.

He also made the rest of his team play the original game every Friday while working on the new one, just to make sure they "got it."

Based on the demo (which, when you hack it to be the correct difficulty setting, is far better) I'm very optimistic about it. I always said "All someone needs to do is remake X-COM exactly as it was, just with updated graphics" but this looks like it might challenge that thought in my head.

He explains it in lowest common denominator terms! Nothing to grab your imagination or attention is said, it's all 'yeah, dude, you totally get to like order these guys around and tell them to blast shit and junk'. It sounds terrible.

I'd have said, "You start with a map of the world, where you build a base to research better weapons. When the aliens come, you send a fighter to shoot down their ship, and then direct the individual soldiers as they try to capture the aliens and their technology". None of this beefcake mugging for the camera.

I've just watched this one and while he lacks in charisma and delivery, he at least talks more about what the game involves than that monosyllabic crap in the game store.

It feels like someone has taken a balloon and carefully threaded it into my left sinus cavity and is now steadily inflating it. This is horrible.

I don't know about you, but building a car starting with a Formula one engine and then strapping hybrid rockets to it is a great idea. And should be encouraged.

That wasn't what I wanted to do, though. I didn't realise there was a rule about how to man people the fuck up. You should add that to TEH ROOLZ.

I seem to be getting quite a few of those PPI/nuisance texts recently.

Isn't there a number I can forward them on to to get them blocked or something? I remember reading something like that a while ago. I'm on Orange if that helps...
