Shame she's blatantly miming. It's basically a mashup with a bunch of people pretending to do stuff on a stage.

Erm, yeah. The guy who made it basically ripped the vocals from the track, then he made the backing track and slapped the vocals on it. Then dubbed it on to the video. Thats kind of the point.

He also did

He's pretty talented, he does the alternative arrangements himself.

I know what a mashup is! Why's she pretending to sing it, though?

Author:  Pundabaya [ Sat Feb 16, 2013 23:15 ]
Post subject:  Re: YouTube - Highlights

because the guy who made it is good enough at syncing up the video to fool you into believing that Carly Rae Jepsen is miming to a mashup, whe he's clearly just picked a random Jepsen video?

While I'm not a fan of his dance style it's clear the man has skills.

This video - which has no cuts, slow-motion or any other camera effects - still blows my mind: viewtopic.php?p=738791#p738791

Mental_floss looks like it could be quite good if it can keep that standard up. They've done another list show about Fred Rogers, but I don't know who he is so I didn't watch much of it.

I don't remember if I saw this. I'm fairly sure I would have seen it. But I don't remember seeing it. Anyway, there are several things to take from this:

1) Pantani is a hero of mine.
2) Pantani was a drugs cheat.
3) Pantani died alone, on Valentine's day, in a hotel room in a town in Italy, of a cocaine overdose.
3) I cannot ever, ever, reconcile points one and two.
4) Was the win gifted to him? He thought so.

Bewilderwood is amazing! Easily the best kids day out I've had. The slides are the bestest slides in the world, and Onnie loved the zip lines sooooo much!

Probably easier to see if your colour settings are correct by looking at a person too. If it looks unnatural, they're probably wrong. Doesn't explain the evil clown though.

The clown was there to terrify small children, mainly.

Certainly gave me a childhood phobia of periods while TV programming wasn't on.

BEEX week has suddenly reminded me that I didn't answer this:

Everything on that testcard has been deliberately designed to test TV's (CRT TV's but parts are still useful for LCD's) and the transmission chain. The girl was chosen so that skin tone could be seen.

The toy was the girls own but proved ideal as it was colourful and could show up common transmission errors.

Not Youtube but 4 terrible marvellous adverts from the Channel Islands from years past.

They are towards the bottom of article. Don't click on the report at the top (it's about the supermarket having been refitted and is dull).
