I think they're fine. Clicking on the whole thread title takes you to last unread, so it's pretty tricky to do it wrong. Things like clicking on page numbers is trickier, but that's not exactly something you do all the time.

[edit][edit]Actually, that's not quite true (for the mark as read one) - screen space is at a premium, and I couldn't really justify taking up space with something that's going to be used so rarely. I just jump out of the mobile view when I need to mark a forum as read.
