I had a dream last night that involved Cornwall creating it's own currency. The trurozone pun I made in my dream was so bad I woke myself up in dismay.

Dublin just won the GAA football title for the first time in 16 years. A last second kick. The party is going to be immense.

And I'll be on a ferry home for good when it happens. Ah well, my work here is done.

Day Ten of my booze free month. Not really missed it yet, other than on Friday after getting home from work, where I would ahve quite fancied a nice glass of wine to help unwind.

I imagine the only tricky times will be when at my Dad's (where champagne and nice wines are always freely available, and everyone else will be drinking) and when eating massive steaks avec Beexers.

Though the main annoyance has been postponing my leaving drinks from the current work, and being unable to go out and go crazy during teh wife's 6 days in Ireland.

Oh well.

At least the impaired liver function is still suppressing my appetite, and I've now lost 10lbs since I started trying to lose weight.

Which is nice.

Blood tests back tomorrow.

Very unlikely I have a specific Hep thingy, so I'm pinning my hopes on my liver just needing a bit of a rest after a combo of virus and booze gave it a bit of a beating.

I'll get my next set of bloods taken in a few weeks, and will get the results, to see if the rest has helped, the day before the Cottage!

I noticed that Metallica posted a 30-second preview of their collaboration album with Lou Reed -

Most of the comments were along the lines 'OMG! WTF?! Make Ride the Lightning again!'

Since yesterday's shopping trip to somewhere off the M62, fighting through IKEA and Comet and a few other places, furniture is now constructed and the washing machine was delivered. The Basement Room is looking quite pro, and I'm exciting. Chauvanism isn't dead, though, when we bought this washing machine, the salesperson would listen to what MrsA had to say, then reply to me. Which I found disgusting.

The vice chairman of the theartre company has given me a call and is keen to meet up in the near future. That should be fun.

I've often thought about doing something with the people of the forum..

How many people here play instruments? I play the drums and I would like to do a "forum charity record". Something simple that we could all contribute to... Just for fun like.

People could sing a line each and send it in an MP3 for me to put together. Obviously we'd need other talented musicians to appear on it but at the moment, it's just an idea.

Do you think it could work?

Does it have to be for charity? Can it be for buying guns or something else instead?

Yes it could. I would happily donate all of the money made from it to buy a gun... or anything else you'd like.

I'm guessing we'll make a total of nothing from it.. but it could be fun?

I was quite impressed.

As I said to the wife after they described 'how' - "That's both horrible and fucking amazing."
