Am I right in assuming all the Advance Wars games have been bundled together under the "Advance Wars Dual Strike" title? Fair enough if they have (very similar games), but strange decision not to just call it Advance Wars if so.

Which version is available on the Wii? NES? Anyone downloaded the Wii Ware remake yet?

That's the version I meant! There's a classic version on there and an arrange version. Both exactly as you'd expect.

Man, I loved that game. It was always worth the wait of loading it onto whatever Amstrad it was I had, with the inevitable crashes during the load. It was even worth trying to repair the tape when the drive decided to chew it up. Brilliant game, but I haven't played it in many, many years.

I loved BB on the Amiga, but my mum and sister loved it more. I think they got to level 99 once or something equally annoying.

I'm looking forward to the XBLA release.

To be honest, I prefer leaving classic games in the past. Digging them up tends to ruin childhood memories of them being awesome.

I'm really reluctant to ever buying an old console/arcade game on XBLA ever again, given I have a perfectly good set of emulators on my chipped old Xbox.

Advance Wars seems to be one of those games that I've never heard of, but everyone here bums a lot. Kinda like Geometry Wars.

Given how dull I found that, I am reluctant to search out Advance Wars. Should I?

Advanced wars is a very well put together turn based strategy game.

I dont think theres an english version of the first NES games , but Advanced Wars and Advanced Wars 2 on the GBA are great games and you should be able to
download and play them on a GBA emulator if you dont have a suitable flashcard "pick them up cheap"

There are 2 DS specific versions which are okay but i did not like as much as the GBA ones

I see what has happened. Some people voted for some games using full titles, others abbreviated. Presumably I assumed that you had just used the full title and the others who voted didn't.
