Likewise! We shall have to do it again and sit down for a proper chat about Heroquest and Amiga games.

Whoever reads this thread next year to reminisce, please remind us that we are NOT ordering from here again. That was not nice food and they forgot ALL of the rice.

Someone should have phoned up to complain to get some money back for that. I wouldn't have minded if the curry was nice, but it was luminous and tasted like it had no natural ingredients in it whatsoever (I know, I know... but I'd rather have a tomato than a snthetuc tomato substitute). I would on no planet be pleased at paying £20 for what Russell and I couldn't bear to finish. Many thanks for those chips, Malc. Russell said they'd been from you so I'm really grateful for your thoughtfulness. Between that and the overcooked and dry pizza on Friday (was everyone else's pizza rubbish?) by far the best meal was the in-house chef meal, so thanks for that, chaps :)

It was lovely seeing everyone, especially JBR, The Vision, Davpaz, and finally Mr Chris, people who've not been before or in a very long time, to catch up and meet.

See you next year

Yep. It's 12 minutes past 9 and I'm already falling asleep at my desk. 2 late nights at the cottage and a late night last night boxing up stuff for eBay has left me very, very tired.

Still... The cottage was totally worth it! I'm already saving for next year. £9.16 a month will mean I won't notice the £100 for the cottage and £10 for the pizza.

It compares favourably with most other city breaks, with the added advantage of being all self-contained and being a holiday with the best people on the Internet.

Yeah, it doesn't look like the mobile site likes Beex Peex. It worked on the full site when I uploaded them.

As for the trophy... Who knew it was made of glass? It was dropped within minutes of it being won. Don't worry though, I may be able to source a replacement.

Man alive, am I gladI wasn't going to the cottage today. M1, closed at J 16 northbound with lots of flashing blue lights. M25 down to one lane with copious police cars and even more fire engines. just after J10 clockwise.

Makes thw 20 minute delay I had on the way back today seem almost non-existant.

Fantastic weekend as always. I think I have my usual shopping list of board games and technological wonders to try not to spend actual money on, although if there's ever a space monkeys kickstarter, I'm sure I can spare a bit.

What a great weekend. Was fab to see a lot of you again and to meet a few for the first time.

Really enjoyed the drinking game and Mafia.
I loved chilling out with the Techno hat.

Just wanting to echo the sentiments everyone else has already said. I'm back in sunny Devon, and have some brilliant memories of the weekends, with some other things it's probably best that I don't recall what happened! (Sorry about that)

Great seeing some old faces along with some new ones. Look forward to next year!

When I got back on Sunday morning, my wife commented on how she was awoken late on Friday by an enormous sound.

She described it like two planets colliding together with shockwaves that would be felt for miles around. She continued in that it was similar to a several sonic booms... only louder. The kind of sound that would make ladies within earshot pregnant.

She asked.... "Grim... Didn't high five anyone did he?"
