Unfortunately it was a suitcase my GF had ordered, and not the PS4....

DPD do the console deliveries. You should have an email saying it's been dispatched and you can track the parcel not getting delivered.

Mine says it's been sent by Amazon Logistics, and all their tracking says is that it left the depot at 8:45

Tried the local Toys R Us and Mediamarkt at opening time this morning, but neither had any consoles at all. Quite surprised at that. On the postive side, they were both decent enough to put a sign in the window pointing that out, so you didn't even have to stand around for ten minutes in the cold.

Y'know, I've never once had a problem walking into somewhere on launch day and getting that something. Worse case I ever had was GTAIV when I had to walk into a second shop. Damn near broke my heart that did.

Basically I go by the size of my amazon wishlist for a certain system. It was big enough in this case.

New Mario (which is getting great reviews) - I also think for some people its hit the 'there are enough good games available' spot (Zelda / Mario / Pikmin / Monster Hunter) - and its also on sale in a number of places today (e.g. £199 at Shopto for the console + 2 games or it was one of Amazons 'flash' deals this morning at £180 for the console plus 3 games)
