The uploader of the Warlocks accidentally sent it to me first instead of Mark X so maybe I'm biased toward that. It's still pretty good though. I quite like the Neil Young one as well with The Mission having covered it on their first album.

Hey Jealousy is one of my favourite songs of all time EVER.

OK I'm in the minority then that think that Neil Young song is rather dull. The Warlocks on the other hand, ACES!

I found the Warlocks song a lot duller than the last one of theirs someone picked,

For ages it looked like you and I were the only people who liked it. Nice to see a rush of late votes lift it to respectability.

But yes, I love it and New Miserable Experience would definitely be on my list of Desert Island Disks. I think that's partly because it's one of the first songs I can remember that's "mine", something I heard and liked because I liked it, not because it was something my parents listened to or I was directed to by a friend - it was about the fourth or fifth CD I ever bought, if I remember corrrectly. Partly it's wrapped up with a relationship I was in just after Hey Jealousy was released and that the whole album came to sum up for me (HINT - it didn't end well). Partly it's because the line "And if you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down" makes me smile every single time I hear it.

I mean, yes I know it's basically got no chorus. And that the singer's a bit nasal and has pretty much chosen one note and is going to stick to it come what may. But it's one of my favourite songs ever ever ever and I wanted to make sure I stuck it into Song Wars somewhere. Glad a few people liked it.
