So, RLLMUK. It's a forum, a lot bigger than this one. I know there's a few people here who are regulars on there, too. RLLMUK does some things well, and some things badly, much like anywhere else.
One thing about it that I have found enthralling is the fact that they run a regular game of MafiaScum, which I've been hooked on reading over the last few months.
MafiaScum, for those who don't know, is a game that can be played online on a forum, and has anywhere from 10-30 players, though the ones that seem to work best are those in the mid-teens. Each player has a role, which is secret from everyone else (PMd to them by the narrator after randomly selecting who's who). There are (in the basic rules) mafia players and town players. The mafia players all know who each other are, but the town players don't know who's who.
Basically the town has to ascertain, by discussion and deduction, who the mafia players are, and try to kill them - the town can agree by majority vote to string one person up per night, at which point they find out that person's role.
There are more specialised roles, too - ones that can investigate other people to find out information about their role, ones who can kill people, ones who can prevent others from killing, ones who can recruit people into the mafia, etc.
So, by 'daytime', the town all discuss what's been going on, and try and ascertain who are the guilty ones. Accusations and counter-accusations fly, and at the end of the day, hopefully a decision is reached on who to string up. The thread is then locked, and 'nighttime' begins. During the night, people with a special role can nominate who they will kill/protect/investigate etc. In the morning, the results of all the night actions are revealed and play continues.
The town aim to wipe out the mafia, and the mafia aim to wipe out the town. The game ends when one or the other is not going to be able to win.

So, does anyone think that this would be a laugh, and that we could get enough people together to give it a go? We'd be looking for about 15 people, who would have time to check on here regularly for a period of about two weeks (Each 'day' tends to last about 48 hours, so you don't need to be on the board the whole time, just regularly enough to participate in discussion).
