Valve haven't made games themselves in aeons. The Portal and L4D teams were assimilated from elsewhere. Half-Life 2 might have been their last game, in 2004 (sub please check).

(I did post this after checking out the Wikipedia page on valve releases, saw dota 2, but rather disregarded it for much the same reason I discounted the lab. Which may or not be fair, given its something I've never really noticed or paid much attention to. )
DOTA is a stupid game that appears to be designed so weirdos can shout abuse at each other, so doesn't count.
