It was a race to completion. We completed first. Changing the RoE at this late stage makes you look like a very sore loser. Poor show.

It's been a while since I've posted regularly mainly down to my stupid job, but the other reason is that me and my SO have had a baby girl!

We figured 7.5 billion people killing the planet just wasn't enough.

Yay for my brother, he worked for Carilion as an estimator on big civil and Network Rail tenders.

So is out on his arse tomorrow, but has managed to get a new job with 20% more money starting in 2 weeks

He will also get some redundancy around £6,000

So worked out about as well as these things can really.

The neighbours brought us over a bottle of prosecco to say congratulations on our house purchase and also invited us to their Burns night party on Saturday!

The reason I put this in the Yay thread is that I was asked if I wanted to be one of the sponsors, so I agreed and I have a little ad inside the souvenir programme that just arrived. :)

This week we've done a go live on Monday for a migration from Gmail to Office 365, and on Friday a new LAN and phone system.

Both went very well, and I've had lots of people saying how this has made a huge difference for them.

I'm attending a friend's stag weekend in Dublin in mid-April, and had already planned to hang around for a couple of days or so either side of the festivities to have more of a break. I discovered yesterday that Frank Turner is playing there at the same time, so managed to get a ticket to fill up the evening once my friends leave. Normally when I'm planning trips I'll hear of a band touring in the area, but usually a week or so after I've been. Yay!

Adventure Committee suggests arrival on Monday not Saturday now. Due to reasons.

KC line up to be announced tonight.

The missus was excited about a few of them. I'm pretty meh, but I'm not overly bothered about the actual acts, especially the headliners.

Happy to make a playlist. Some good artists there, though I don’t much like the headliners (Run DMC might be fun).

He just plays records.

Declan McKenna is indeed on the bill and should be very good because he is very good.

Also keen to see Pale Waves and a few others.

Oh, please run at him and then jump on his back and see if he moves/notices, or if he just keeps walking without breaking stride. It’s on my bucket list.

That and
2) touch a penguin
3) nuzzle a manatee
