Jon: Dany, we know where the army of the dead are. Bran told us. Could we borrow a dragon for like 5 days, a week tops, to fly up there, roast the dead army and the Walkers and be back for the rest of the war?

Dany: Bend the knee

The army of the dead are walking on snur.

The living things have an easier time as they walk on hard dirt.

Yeah but how are they going to get past the wall? If they could just smash through then wouldn't they have done it already?

They're all about the ice. Big Winter. Who needs to break the wall. Walk around the edge.

Should I be reading this to the tune of "All about the Bass" by Meghan Trainor?

Also, whilst the distances travelled are now a bit silly, Is rather they do this and have thus far a fucking excellent series, than spread it out across an extra five episodes during which less happens.

Plus Jon has fucking Gendry with him; All Westerosi Champion Rower!

Current favourite character list:
1 - Ser Davos
2 - Bronn
3 - Big Wilding Man
4 - The Hound
5 - Littlefinger

I do like Tyrion. He nearly made my list.

Arya is being a bit annoying at the moment but I do like her. I also like Brienne but she's not doing much.

I like Gendry's hammer.

Aye. That's the one.

It was pointed out in the same thread that the Others went after Bran and the Three Eyed Raven and he was fairly central north of the wall so the linked map is inaccurate.

Interestly there's a horn in the show too that was found at the Fist with the dragon glass. Sam has it but it hasn't been mentioned or shown in yonks.

I've fallen out of love with Daenarys. I like her sidekick girl, though. The beautiful one who likes Grey Worm.

Question:

Will any of the main cast have a successful post-Thrones career?

I don't recall any of them being in anything else much cop so far, but that's excusable given the show's demands. Dany has been in a few romcoms, and Jon Snuh in some apparently crap action movies, but anyone else? I suppose Tyrion has done well enough.

Varys has always popped up in things and will doubtless continue to do so, likewise Littlefinger, but will any of those to really make their name from the show properly break out? Cersei obviously doesn't count as she was pretty well known already.

Yeah, Jamie has been around. Obviously Lena "Cersei" Headey has been in 300, Sarah Connor Chronicals, The Purge and lots of other stuff.

And now I've read to the end of your post >:(

Well, I would imagine that they will all have opportunities, and in fact many of them seem to be cramming stuff in. I would be inclined to narrow that question down to the younger members of the main cast, say under 30, as most of the older characters have had decent careers up to GoT.
Who knows? They'll get offered more stuff than many of their peers; it is an industry that favours returns (largely) so it depends on how successful the projects they appear in are.

Get thee to IMDB

Doing a role like that for so long means that producers worry the audience won't be able to separate them from their well known characters though. The cast of the West Wing or The Sopranos didn't exactly go onto super high profile careers.

Fuck off Toby is in Ballers and Josh was in Cabin in the Woods and that terrible cop show!

In all seriousness, CJ is doing well with Mom and Masters of Sex.

Liam Cunningham should get lots more work after this. I've always liked him but Sir Davos has been outstanding this series.

Speaking of GoT actors, I listened to the Richard Herring podcast with Mark Addy again the other day. He is such a lovely fella with a great story about Sean Bean and being a Yorkshireman working in Hollywood - definitely worth a listen.

HBO in Spain messed up and uploaded S7e06 to their legit streaming service yesterday.

Took it down an hour later but that was long enough :)

It's on the NG and Torrent sites for those who can't wait
