Germany, apparently. All the engineers.

The correct answer is we don't know the name of the planet but they could have come directly from LV-223 after picking up the black liquid.

19 out of whatever, whoooo

I am in agreement with Cras, a sort of quiz to help people learn, and show that they understand the important basics would be good. When I moved overseas, some of the small little differences, things that 'natives' (for want of a far better word) take for granted, were the most puzzling.

Get fucked - chips are awesome everywhere, anywhere

(this is a good example of those little differences, in Aus - they call crisps 'chips'. Actual chips are not called fries, no, they are called 'hot chips' :blown: )

You need to hang out with more intelligent, better people then.

:) Very good, I took test one and just did it again the Xmas Eve question was there again

Then I took test 39 and questions there were a bit harder, so maybe the number of the test means harder?

I was asked to prove the Riemann hypothesis while asleep.

And then it got a bit judgey about my taste in porn.

Well, cavey clearly didn't write this...

What is not a fundamental principle of British life?

Treating others with fairness
Looking after the environment
Driving a car
Looking after yourself and family

(3 is the correct answer)

:this: Could not agree more, mate, it's one of the key drivers to make us better and to strive for better, as individuals and as a collective.

Sometimes perhaps but mostly it's completely arbitrary and just leads people to place value on things that are actually every bit as shit and pathetic as the things they're being snobbish about.

But that's something I'm very happy to be snobby about as well. Snobbery snobbery if you will.

Indeed; it's called 'discernment' whereby simplistic, tiresome, black-and white, tar-everyone-with-the-same-brush grievance bullshit need not apply. Hence, I believe, your use of the specific term "some things" which appears to have been missed. :)

No, discernment is just taking the time to appraise things until you find what you prefer just for your own satisfaction. Snobbery is when you judge other people. I tend to find people who are snobbish about things actually know relatively little about them, their opinions tend to be parroted rather than gleaned from experience and spouted mostly due to their own insecurities. People who are real experts tend to be enthusiastic about their passions and seek to help and inform rather than chastise others.

Don't get me wrong, everyone does it here and there but I just can't agree that, broadly speaking, it's a positive thing.

I know very little about chips on a beach but know it is wrong. And pickled eggs.

Milk in Earl gray tea. Kill them.

Agreed. It's like tea that someone's accidentally put a blob of old ladies hand cream in whilst making. Horrid stuff.

Grim... and I did like eight of these as a drinking game while overseeing meat cooking. They're weirdly Bronze Age obsessed and I don't think we were allowed into the UK once in all eight tests.

The sad thing is that it was the same test 8 times.

To be fair, I probably could've got higher than 9 on that one, but I couldn't be bothered with educated guesses.
