Just had a thought, does this coincide with the quiz? What days are you down, Gilly?

When is the quiz? We fly down on Wednesday 27th, landing about 3pm. Back on Sunday morning, the 1st May. Going out on the Friday night for Ange's birthday but we're free the other nights. Thinking about going to the photography exhibition that's on...er...somewhere(?) while we're down.

Right, I want suggestions for a rooftop bar to spend Saturday afternoon on/in, preferably in or near Shoreditch. Cocktails preferable, and no uggos.

Thanks in advance.

If you have pals who are members, then Shoreditch House.

Or Boundary is nice.

Or Queen of Hoxton

Or Box Park, which is more of an elevated outdoor space, but it's worth a look.

It's not rooftop but thebikeshed do nice cocktails and have nice bikes to look at and they keep the uggos out.

Disclaimer: they are a client.

Of course! Actually, if you're heading in that direction, then the Aviary at the Montcalm Hotel in Finsbury Square is pretty excellent.

A touch on the pricey side, but not ruinously so.

Franks isn't in Shoreditch, but it's easy to get there from Shoreditch. It's the ultimate rooftop bar, being as it is the top floor of an NCP car park.

No, but it has cocktails that aren't made of creamed anus.
