If I want a kettle BBQ, do I get the 47cm Webber or the 57cm, or other, and from where?

About £190ish?

There will most likely be further questions.

Don't fall for the illusion of choice. Buy the first or last one that she sent you. Which ever is cheaper.

It's worth noting that, somewhat sheepishly, and in a moment that is rarer than hens attending a dentist, MrsA admitted telling me the wrong PIN.

MrsA said "Any saving buying it second hand is a false economy, as you'd buy flowers for Mrs Grim... Pretending to be all nice, and then you and he would disappear to the pub for two days. And fuel costs"

In a fit of consumerism, last-minute desperation and forward-thinking I bought a kettle BBQ from Morrison's this morning. Fifteen quid.

Reckon it'll last even the one grill session it needs to manage tomorrow?

As I paid for it the checkout lady managed to drop her chair from max to minimum height accidentally and loudly exclaimed 'shit!' followed by looking around sheepishly :D

Hah, that happened to me Easter weekend, i phoned one of my suppliers and it went to the automated system, a lady said "welcome to Raleigh" then burst out laughing and said "shit, I fuckin hate this shit!" I told them when i got through next about it and the guy put me on hold to tell the office, could hear them pissing themselves laughing when he put me back on.

Pro hint - there's a plastic tub in the bottom ash catcher that you're supposed to use to scoop charcoal or something. Take it out of the ash catcher before you use it or it'll go melty melty. It being gone midnight it's perhaps too late for that advice.

Both the local Premier Inn and Travelodge are full. Any other local options?

Not so: After assembly, the whole thing looked a bit odd. I couldn't work out why, though. Thought nothing more of it, until I went to move it. The handles, rather than being at nine and three o'clock, are at seven and one.

Of course.

Myp: Mali's tent.

Failing that, the 2016 website still has relevant info on: http://www.beexbeeque.co.uk/#sleep

I got three couples and two double beds in rooms and one in the living room with (potentially) a load of other people. I'm not sure how I'm going to do allocation yet, so... Maybe?

Cool - it would be appreciated! Sal hates camping so I don't think I can persuade her to sleep in a tent.

Four months is sort of still ages in advance I'd say. It's not like I've left it to the last minute.

I think the de-facto definition of 'ages in advance' is 'before the hotels nearby are booked up' ;)

It's ridiculous. I've just yesterday managed to book a cheap hotel in Manchester for £70 for this Saturday. There can't be THAT many people going to the BBQ.

It does seem to be a stupidly busy hotel, considering it's near, well, nothing.

That's what I was thinking. I mean the Bedford Blues are nearby but they don't have a huge nationwide following do they?

Nope. You can go birdwatching nearby, I guess.

Or maybe the Toby Carvery is really popular.
