My Mum had Diverticulitis in the end.

To save you Googling "Diverticulitis occurs when the bulging sacs that appear in the lining of your large intestine, or colon, get acutely infected or inflamed."

It can be quite serious in older people and she just passed it off for 2 days as a bug before gong to the hospital.

So they pumped her full of antibiotics and she has a 10-day course to take at home, other than that she is ok

Glad she's ok. My Dad had that too (not in this recent spell of ill health but a previous one). To sort it, it involved sticking a tube and cutting out a polyp. I'm sure it was more detailed than that, but they are details I don't particularly want to know :)

Massive shunt in the British F4. One guy has been stretchered away but one still in the car. That was nearly an hour ago.

Front guy spun as the track was getting wet, came to a standstill on the outside and had to wait as cars steamed past. The guy who hit him was on the outside and didn't see him coming, ran full pelt into him.

You can see it on YouTube if you want but I wouldn't recommend it. They're only kids as well. :'(

I've been recording the BTCC coverage so I can skip the races I don't want. That's a very nasty smash indeed.

Torrential rain. The last race started, three cars ditched it on lap 1 and the safety car came out. We took it as a sign and left.

Minor Nay: Mrs Squirt has been diagnosed with pneumonia, and is busy lying in bed hacking up chunks of her lungs whilst guzzling down steroids and antibiotics.

Major Nay: As a result of having to stay home and luck after her, I'm going to miss the paid-for work outing to go see Fast & Furious 8.

Yeah, of most of the outcomes, I'd take that. Speaking of which, what happened to Schumacher?

Max Verstappen did the same, and I suspect a lot of drivers donated anonymously (because of dicks who say things like "JB could afford to give way more than £15k").

I'm going on a stag do on Saturday and in the afternoon we were supposed to be going to a local arcade to play games all afternoon.

The guy has just text us saying that due to personal reasons, he's shutting the arcade with immediate effect.

Arses.

Try the trampoline air jumpy thing in Wolverhampton instead, or Clockwork Escapes instead?

The trampoline thing probably isn't suitable but that escape room might be! In fact, I do believe the Stag mentioned that the other week as something that we should look into one of the days... Good thinking Russ! I shall suggest it!

Break in anyway, as he could be trapped like in Tron and need you all to ride some light cycles to save him.

Move the stag do to Arcade Club.
What was the place that's closed, out of interest?

It's called Tums arcade in Halesowen. It's been open for about a year I think.

Thankfully I've not had that too badly (although like Kov, I block pages like that), but I've noticed a couple of my Brexit-supporting friends have now taken to posting Pro-conservative memes, including Thatcher's "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." quote.

Clockwork Escapes is run by a good friend of colleague and extreme BeEx lurker Zeppo, and indeed Zeppo is involved with it too. By all accounts it's pretty awesome, I keep meaning to go up there and have a go.

Hi Russell, just popping in to say, I helped set Clockwork Escapes up! I built this site (please, don't look at the code...) and did most of the graphic design. I assisted in the set up the rooms and puzzles, too. The owner is a close mate of mine, and it's an absolutely awesome time - if you go, I hope you enjoy!

He gets pretty booked up, so I'd try to get a booking in early - he does get the odd window though, so always worth poking him. Mention my name and he may feel compelled :D
