bit of a boring round after all the upsets of last week...

Only if you look at the score lines. Some of the matches were incredible. GB v Arizona is an all time classic.
Guven that if the 4 teams eliminated, 3 of them were recent superbowl winners losing to teams that aren't (chiefs didn't keep up their end of the bargain) I'm not sure I'd describe it as upsetting.

And it's not like any of the games were boring by any stretch.
Yes! Bye bye Brady! Bye bye Belichick! The Broncos are heading to the Superbowl!

FUCK YES!
Aww, the Denver Broncos?

Althought I don't like the Patriots I cannot actively cheer against them for reasons. But I am secretly pleased.
...can't see them beating Cam and the Panthers though.

Sadly, this.
But then, they were saying 'I don't see how the Broncos can beat a healthy Patriots team...'
I think that Denver will likely put up 20ish points, regardless. So it's whether or not the strong Denver defence can do what nobody else seems to be able and stop Cam Newton.
The Broncos hit Brady 19 times.
However the Panthers have a better defence than NE and have just beaten (like a red headed step child) the Cardinals who themselves have an above average defence.

In addition if the Broncos lose we will get to see Payton's sad old man face...plus Cam is quite good at "running about a bit".
Personally I like Peyton a lot more than Cam.
Didn't like Cam coming out of college...he was given almost as many passes as Winston. Over the last few seasons it is obvious he enjoys playing football and is also quite good at it. I find the constant felating of Manning by the media increasingly annoying and the idea that he 'won' the game at the weekend is ridiculous (rather than Ware and Miller jumping up and down on Brady). Whole sections of the Nantz / Simms commentary were horribly embarrassing.
The Denver D looked really really good against the Pats. It's gonna be an interesting game. If they can get the pressure they got on Brady on Cam, and stop him running, then they may be in with a chance, but Denver really need to up their running game, late in the 3rd Quarter, Manning was their leading rusher!

Well duh. It IS Nantz/Simms, after all.

And they did!

Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware et al were incredible. I think any QB in history would have struggled under that pass rush.
I thought it was a shame Denver spoiled it all by scoring an offensive touchdown...it would have been more fitting to have the Defense score their TD.

Smashing game though. Von Miller is a monster.
Von Miller, really sounds like a proper bad guy in a horror movie... Count Von Milller, making ze horrific touchdown...
I've never seen an O-line false starting because both tackles are too eager to jump back a yard... that's how devastating Ware and Miller were. The tackles had no hope of stopping them at the line of scrimmage so they were engaging them two yards in the backfield.
I really enjoyed it.
I watched the Throwball end of season finale. The scripting team did excellent work.

The first three quarters went according to plan...
The catch of the game :

That was a fucking amazing moment.

The catch shortly beforehand by the Atlanta dude at the edge of the pitch was awesome, too.
If only Atlanta hadn't managed to get sacked and then have a penalty on top to go out of field goal range!

They should have kicked it when they had the chance. Even I said "why aren't they kicking it".

Although obviously by that time I knew everything about Throwball there is to know.
Normal procedure would be to run the football when you have a 25 point lead, as it eats up the clock. They barely ran it at all. Major game management fail from the head coach. But it made for better drama, so it's all good!
yes quite depressing news..

(in better news i now have madden'17.. anybody for a game?)

You were always going to have to undergo a period of readjustment. Boro were a successful team 12 months ago so they won't have forgotten that so soon.
We are discussing the wrong-shaped ball now.
Yes, sorry. Back to extreme rugby chat.
Wow, the Giants have come into some decent form at the end of the season when it's far too late to make an impression.

Although I'm not a big American Football fan, I do look forward to the BBC Sport weekly round-up of the best plays. The Miami play at the start of this week's is great.
Yeah, miami was lovely,..went to a saints game earlier this year... that was completely amazing
