I have purchased this game as it indeed looks amazing. I shall have to wait to play it unfortunately as my new Xbone arrived faulty and wouldn't switch on for more them 5 seconds before the power supply switched itself off.

Brilliant!

-edit- although reading further, it seems very complicated. And you need your wheel to be connected to your PC (or dedicated hardware) and it beams the signal via bluetooth to your PS4. A bit of a problem when my PC and PS4 are in different rooms...

Might just sell my G27 and get a G29 instead.

Seems a bit fiddly yeah but not too bad and you can use a rasperry pi and then just use USB to the PS4. Worth it just to not give any more money to Logicunts.

I might just stick to PC driving seeing as I have pCARS, Dirt Rally and iRacing which should cover my needs really. Although I might change my mind when GT7 is announced.

No. That's the account I used to download Dirt Rally. Sorry! Must have still been logged in to that. Sent another FR. My GT is Nirbanana.

It's really good fun (especially in VR), but it's not exactly a hardcore sim (I'd say more 75% sim, 25% arcade). Depends what you're looking for.

That sounds perfect. I've been looking for a new Rally game. Richard Burns Rally is good, but it's old and you have to hack it to get it working properly in Windows 10. I reckon I'll stump up the cash.

I snagged this on a Steam special offer earlier today, £12.

Quite bastard hard innit? Any kind of damage inflicted on your car pretty much knacks you for that stage, and you can't necessarily fix it properly before the next one.

Also, I could only afford to choose from three horseshit 1960s cars which are about fifty times slower than the actual real car I drive at actual real speeds to work every day.

The meat and veg of the driving itself is very good though, and the whole thing is a delight in understatement after the increasingly preposterous IN YOUR FACE PUT IT ON YEWTOOB nonsense of the main DiRT series.

I shall persevere.

It's definitely a step in the right direction simulation-wise. Although some of the shunts you can endure and keep driving on afterwards are not wholly accurate.

It's quite an experience in VR.

I noticed during the loading screens, there's sometimes a little message that says something like "OMG, you totally upload that to twitch, right now!"

Funny fuckers.

Anyway, I'm getting better at this, in that I can complete stages without leaving a steaming wreck :)

Time trialling is boring. I prefer racing people.

Wasn't aware a new one was coming. A Eurogamer Essential.

And VR support to come.

Don’t you dare try VR though. It’s a baby’s toy.
