Italy v France was agonising. The hosts kept on getting so far, then screwing it up. It feels like they've improved a heck of a lot, but still no match for Dupont and his pals. France remain the most exciting and interesting team at moment.

Half-time at England v Scotland. And yes, what the hell is going on?

Finn Russell's cheeky grin as he got caught was the kind of thing I find most punchable about Boris Johnson.

You know those bits in the Asterix books when the Gauls drink the magic potion and start thumping the Jupiter out of the Romans? That's what's happening here.

I have no idea what the hell just happened, and the 80 minutes went by in a blur.

The only positive is that the score could have been so much higher. Italy had a far better game today but the score doesn't reflect that.

EDIT And what a kick from Hogg!

It took England 75 minutes to work out that kicking the ball to Scotland wasn't the best game plan.

It feels like England often struggle against Italy at the start of the game, then struggle their way back in front.

Helen’s parents had Scottish and Welsh ancestry, so she was flip flopping her support all the way through that match.

Really enjoyed watching Italy again today. It's like they are getting so close to something every time. England again felt scrappy - was it me or where there too many fumbles.

Feel really bad for Jack Willis.

Scotland/Wales was proper edge of seat stuff.

England v France - Halftime.

Really enjoying this. Both teams playing well and pretty tense.

Wales v Italy was pretty terrible other than the final ten minutes.

One of the best games I have seen in a while.

Not sure what can be done about Italy, 31 defeats in a row. It can't be good for them, they don't look like improving soon.

Luckily for them, they're clearly the sixth best European team. Any other country thrown into the big club would probably suffer the same way.

It's agonising because every game or so, there'll be one moment that's absolutely brilliant but it either collapses when something they've not planned for happens or they don't try to repeat it.

Of course, the universe could just be balancing out how dam good the current French team are.

Scotland v Ireland

Pretty messy throughout. Second Irish try was a bit dubious but neutralised when the Scots equalised.

Hugo Keenan remains ace.

Only half time but we've already had two staggering great - and different - tries from Ireland. Each brilliant in their own way.

This is complex, technical stuff, especially watching it straight after Ireland v England. No idea how it'll end but frankly all that matters is the surprise appearance of Ntamack! Hooray!
