Another day down, another day of inaction. Morning dawns...

3 deaths!!!!!

Death 1
Gilly stabbed repeatedly in the face.
Gilly was a Townie and was the town chatterbox, whenever she said something, she had to say it in no less that 100 words.

Death 2
gospvg was brutally murdered.
gospvg was a Townie and was extremely impatient, he was always going to push for a quick kill...

Death 3
Zaphod79, another brutal murder.
Zaphod79 was the mafia don! No wait, sorry, that isn't correct... Zaphod79 was a Townie! The local aristocrat.

With 13 players alive, 7 votes are required for a lynch, and 10 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Day 3 Ends at 2pm Monday (A nice long day for the complainers ;))

Don't forget the dead thread mods...

Oooh, shit. That's worrying. It seems we have some kind of wild card. Everyone there was reasonably vocal, so I don't think we have a 'speak up' killer out there.

Hm. Bit early to ask our cop or hooker to come forward, I think, so. Anyone got any ideas?

Wait, I've been doing reading comprehension in school and I now get what you're getting at: 2 'killers' and 3 'kills'.

But... reading back through the erm... minutes of yesterday, it doesn't seem like anyone's let anything slip.

I'm going to go with what my Daddy told me: "Don't trust what you can't understand"

Malc, are you admitting to being visited by the hooker on the first night, when there was, it would appear, a roleblock on the first night - meaning an action wasn't performed.

Has anyone noticed that the dingos with the most votes have met with untimely deaths the following night?

I hadn't checked, but I did think that.

I didn't get much sleep last night though. :hat:

Or the action was performed but the person protected.

Meep! More deaths than expected! Either that piece of paper telling us about people was misleading, or perhaps someone looks like they killed but in fact suicided.

How odd.

I trust not the silent EBG and the overly tall KovacsC.

Observations! 3 deaths? How? Who is the third murderous scumbag? Sounds like Gilly was got by the SK....? Is the weird, apparent confusion over Zaphods identity a hint that Gospvg was killed by the mafia? By that I mean, if the mafia had killed Zaphod, why the need to reveal his role within the town in the way it was? Am I reading too much into that?

All these dead people...I guess thy won't have a need for their stuff no more, right? Like, Gilly doesn't need her mobile phone now, does she? It's just that I found it and was wondering....don't look at me like that, it's like recycling.

Wow 3 deaths! We're taking a beating. I hope with the longer day something will come out that will enable a lynching of one of the Mafia people, we need to even this up a bit!

Sorry, we've all gone to the races. I did ask you if you want to come Curio but I couldn't see you. Kov, you weren't invited because I thought you might try to make a horse kebab.

Anyway, must get back! There's a surprising amount of expensive wrist watches and handbags being misplaced, you know. I can't seem to locate the owners though.

I'm not at the races. I don't go anywhere like that; the people behind me always complain.

[vote:ElephantBanjoGnome]

Same reason as Curio, really. In the absence of... well, anything (except the suggestion that Malc was blocked when there was no kill, but then he'd be better off not coming forward if he were the killer), I'd rather have some of the quiet people speak up.

Even *I* am finding the discourse of penal welfarism boring, somebody please say something!

We only have until 2pm to work something out, and I must admit, I'm not seeing an awful lot to go on here.

What do we think of the three killings? Two brutal murders and a stabbing. Did someone kill twice? Do we have three killers amongst us? Stabbed in the face sounds personal to me, but Gilly was only the town chatterbox, do we have someone trying to find specific roles out there?

Thinking that gnomes may be our nutter. Defaulting to Nickachu as marginally more dodgy yesterday than anyone I can see. Not a strong case, but it's all I can really see, despite my cranial prominence. I'll hopefully be around tomorrow in time to change my vote if need be.

Hopefully this will liven up today...

So what do we know, all the dead so far are townies, including the 'mafia don'

Are we in some weird town, where reality is off.... hmmm

*insert very tall comment*

How do we flush the SK out, I am sure reading the rules that they need 5 kills to win....

I think this is the most indifferent game of mafiascum I've ever seen. Need quicker day timeouts because I think the odds of even a single lynch are near zero.

Marginally more dodgy? What the shit! All I did was read into gos's comment about killing more townies, there was nothing dodgy there, just because you read.it a different way doesn't mean you are correct does it.[vote: sinister agent] for tryin to start something out of nothing.

Have to say, I don't think anyone has acted dodgy so far. Not sure what the 'mafia don' statement means. Maybe as Kovacs says there is some sort of misdirection going on, but ... ?
EBG's response to curio was a little suss, but then so was curio's attack on ebg. Actually, the person who appears most suss is sinster for his defence of ebg when ebg didn't really need any defending.

[vote: sinister agent] simply because at this stage he is most suss and the chance of hitting a mafia versus a townie are pretty good.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
We've had quick day time-outs. The first 2 days were over within 12hrs...The nights have been extended on 2 occasions as well, presumably because they were too quick. The problem has been that it's the weekend, which always makes the day stretch over 48+ hrs.

Guys, we've lost 5 (that's right, isn't it...?) townies in 2 nights. For now I'm going to [vote:KovacsC] because I don't like the idea of someone looking down on us. Plus, he's so massive I'd need a ladder to reach his pockets and carrying a ladder around isn't exactly inconspicuous, is it?

Also, what do you mean by this being a weird town where reality is off...? Apart from the usual murderous aspect of a town coming under Mafia control, this town isn't really any different from any other town I've been in. Some of the characters might be a little more animated than usual, sure but it's hardly surreal....

I thought it was just a tease, after so many townies dying I thought it was thrown in there to be like a "Yay we got one! Oh..no we didn't..Dammit"

We have had 3 kills when we thought only 2 were possible per night so perhaps there is something a bit weird going on behind the scenes?

That third kill still bugs me. Who could have caused it?

Do we have an unknown role of some sort? Or even a Mimic, copying someone else? If so, they would know the identity of a baddie.

At the moment I'd probably be amenable to lynching most people, as you all seem a bit dodgy. Especially Kovacs, but that's just because I dislike giants.

We must have an unknown, I can't see how the Mafia or SK would be given more than 1 kill/night. Having a totally unknown killing role is very bad, we have no idea what they're capable of or what their win condition is. Why was there no 3rd kill on night 1? Perhaps they have a dual role, investigate or kill? It could be an undercover vigilante I suppose but he's done us no favours so far...

I'm still suspicious of Kov. Mostly because of his thoughts on Zaphod; there is something weird going on, no doubt about it but at the moment, nothing more so than having a 3rd kill role, unless he knows otherwise...?

Still too many people being too quiet.

As much as I really want the giant dead, I suggest a few of us vote for a quiet one and see what happens.

Thoughts? Surely anything is better than sitting here waiting for the day to time out?

I am I think it is odd that there is a 3rd kill, when there was 2 over the previous nights.

So the two weird things were the Zaphod comment as quoted and the 3rd kill....

This is stupid. We only have just over 2.5 hours left. We cannot just let this time out!

[vote:joans]

He's been quiet and is hiding in the shadows. Let's flush him out.

Also, I am amenable to changing my vote to get practically anyone lynched (would prefer to lycnh someone not contributing.. or Kovacs for being tall). If nothing else, if we nail an innocent (and odds must be approaching parity that we nobble a baddie) then we might be able to learn something.

Nor should they, unless they have enough info to swing the game for the Town.

Look here little man, it's bad enough my child is going to be born in a town where people seem to be dying with alarming regularity, but now, because I'm not dragging my heavily pregnant self around town as often as you'd like, you feel the need to "flush me out". Got any children of your own? No, thought not, clearly you wouldn't understand.

Thinking that gnomes may be our nutter. Defaulting to Nickachu as marginally more dodgy yesterday than anyone I can see. Not a strong case, but it's all I can really see, despite my cranial prominence. I'll hopefully be around tomorrow in time to change my vote if need be.

Marginally more dodgy? What the shit! All I did was read into gos's comment about killing more townies, there was nothing dodgy there, just because you read.it a different way doesn't mean you are correct does it.[vote: sinister agent] for tryin to start something out of nothing.

I explained yesterday why I thought that suspicious (and zaphod, who made the same interpretation as you, kind of withdrew it when I did, hence my being less suspicious of him). And as I said, it's only marginally dodgy and not really a strong case, but it's better than nothing.

I'm quite surprised to see you react so strongly to a single, half-arsed vote, and making out that I'm "trying to start something" when even I said it's not a strong vote is preeetty over the top.

[quote="Bobbyaro"]EBG's response to curio was a little suss, but then so was curio's attack on ebg. Actually, the person who appears most suss is sinster for his defence of ebg when ebg didn't really need any defending.

Er... what? When did I defend him? 8)

Both of you now making out that I've been doing things that I very clearly haven't. You' best hope nobody kills me tonight, or you'll look pretty damn suspicious to anyone who's paying attention.

I wouldn't say pretty over the top when there is absolutely nothing to go on. You could be our mystery 3rd killer for all we know just starting something to cover your tracks. I'm sticking with my vote and hope others follow suit in the next half hour before the day ends.

...and so could you. What's your point?

Looks to me like it's you who "started something", not me.

Nothing personal, fella. Just you seem to be the most likely to be lynched as you're on the most votes (tied with Alarm).
