Dawn breaks, and the townsfolk notice once again that people are missing. In the distance they can see the pirate ship ride swinging ominously. Running over they see a scene of carnage - The base of the ride is a mess of blood, where a person has been tied to the bottom of the ship and with every swing has been pulled over dozens of razor blades fixed to the floor. Only the distinctive polka dot beanie hat lying to one side lets the townsfolk identify the ruined corpse as Mr Dave. Mr Dave was a Mafia Goon.

Suddenly a recorded drumroll is heard. Looking towards the sound, the townies see an arrangement of spotlights all pointing at the lucky dip stand, where a large box lies that wasn't there previously. Nervously one of the townies reaches into the box, and touches something with his fingertips. He pulls it out, and throws it on the floor in disgust - it's a big toe, curiously drained of blood. After a lot more draws from the lucky dip, and some inspired jigsaw puzzle solving, the townsfolk assemble the bloodless corpse of ComicalGnomes. CG was the Townie Census Taker.

[playerlist]
The Rev Owen
Gazchap
Joans
Zaphod79
Curiosity
Mr Russ
Plissken
Goddess Jasmine
Runcle
Lacesensor
Spinglo sponglo!
[/playerlist]

With 11 players alive, 6 votes are needed for a lynch.

Day 3 deadline is Monday 10pm.

I think having two mafia down at this stage is a good thing, but it's a shame about CG, because now we won't know how many are left.

CG going is not a surprise.

Well done to the SK again - could make them an honorary townie and keen em in a cage instead of killing them :-)

Aslo well done to the Doc for making it through another night , so I guess the first thing is what did the Cop find out last night ?

/me goes back to look at day 1 and 2's voting patterns for who Mr Dave singled out..... oh and was it CG who pointed out that he was Scum from a very early post ?

I'd like to point out that Mr Dave was on my "possibly not innocent" list. Although so was Mr Chris. :(

Not especially.

If I get bored enough I'll read through Mr Dave's posts, see if there are any clues there.

I'm not really that sure. I'm not really able to spend overly long looking through the threads this time, even with my fanstastic mafiascum tool. (Grumbles something about performance and particle systems)

I'd say the following though. I'm still not overly convinced by Lacesensor, he's not been at all helpful - sometimes actively the opposite, and his hijinks with regards to roleclaims still don't sit quite right at all, it was just causing trouble, leading up to an alibi of "I was bored". Colour me unconvinced.
Malc, due to the malc/gaywood stuff that I spotted, and general inoffensiveness.
runcle. But I've thought that every single game he's been in. I think it's just something about him.

They're the only people I'd be all that happy to take to a lynch post. I'd bend to lynch others, mind, given enough reasons.

Mr Dave, yesterday.

List of innocents of a cunning bluff?

Goddess Jasmine : 6 votes ( The Rev Owen, Joans, Curiosity, Runcle, ComicalGnomes, Lacesensor )
Runcle : 1 votes ( Zaphod79 )
Lacesensor : 1 votes ( Gazchap )

The person registering most of my shifty-meter hasn't been voted for. And I don't really think voting for Jasmine is all too terribly wise. As far as I can tell, we started voting for her due to her being quiet. We managed to miss, for instance, [vote: Mr Chris], who hasn't posted anything at all today. So I'd kinda like to see something from him before the day ends. If needed, I'll change to GJ, but I'd really like to see what Chris has to say first.

In the light of Mr Dave's allegiance, I'm going back to my first thought yesterday and [vote:Goddess Jasmine]

Yes.

[vote:Goddess Jasmine]

I also think it likely that one of the people on Mr Dave's list of suspects is mafia, so he could have quoted it later if they got caught. I'd guess Runcle or Malc, personally, so I'd be prepared to vote for either of them.

I hope I'm right, but I'm running out of suspects.

Plissken, did you find anything last night?

Right, it's been an interesting day or two. Lets just say, you don't spend a long time in my line of work without making a few enemies. A few people think you can be got at. They're wrong. You bide your time and you'll always win.

Anyway, one more Mafia down but they manage to hit CG. We've got a deranged lunatic out there, as well as some gangster lowlifes.

I had an interesting conversation last night with one of my narks on the street. A bit of a tip off, you might say. Normally I wouldn't trust this man as far as I could throw him, but with the missus watchin' Eastenders and the bingo cancelled at the Dog and Duck I thought I would have a bit of a wander. And lo and behold, what should I just happen to come across? Somebodys manor. Somebodys manor was being a bit of a noise nuisance. Blasting out into the street was Nessun Bloody Dorma. The house was decorated with pictures of Paulo Maldini and Pope John Paul II. And to top it all off, I saw someone driving off very quickly in a flashy red sports car. (Which then broke down at the end of the road.)

My interest was, as they say, piqued.

Therefore, upon further investigation, I discovered that not only did said person kill the cat, but he did so by switching his Whiskas for pasta and parmesan and forcefeeding the poor thing until it burst.

Get the gallows handy folks. Curiosity is scummier than the ring round a three week old bath.

A skim of yesterdays posts :

Day 2 :

Page 2 - long post about Gaywood and who he voted for.
Page 3 - two short posts to say "i've not been around much" and real world stuff.
Page 5 - Vote counter plus voting for Mr Chris - does divert from Jasmine who has 6 votes at this point and she is the only person at this point to have a vote in for Mr Chris
Page 5 - saying we have plenty of time to decide
Page 6 - grumble about not having a chance to go over previous thread and suspicion of Lacesensor / Malc / Runcle
Page 6 - undecided interesting that he posted "not a good way to play from the mafia" (direct at Malc?)
Page 7 - casting down that Plis is the real cop (so thats a good hint for me that he really is) , suggestion that Malc is the cop?
Page 7 - saying that malc has split the votes

Disclaimer - i've missed stuff in the past / may be missing some this time and its a very quick check - also i'm not around for the next hour or 2

My reading of this is that Malc is probably innocent / Pliss is almost certainly the cop / but he defended Jasmine so that points a lot of suspicion her way.

One other thing about yesterday is that probably *someone* was blackmailed so voting patterns might be a little skewed by that - also we've not really seen any evidence of the hooker (although they might not be using their powers in case they hit the cop) which would mean using CG's info we have one more Mafia than the minimum ?

No clever themed messing around today! Plissken pointed the finger at Curiosity, with a snarled "Book him, Danno". So they did. Everyone grabbed a book and beat Curiosity to death. Curiosity was a Mafia Goon.

PM me your night 3 actions, please. Night 3 deadline is Monday midday.
