I reached for a smoke and realised I'd none left. This was no good, I'd need to go get some. The nearest store was a fair bit away but I'd be back here by lunchtime.

I opened my coat to display my wares. Hurredly I zipped myself up, and instead indicated the many and varied selections of cigarettes I had secreted about my person

I couldn't bare this place yesterday. I came here to soak away my sorrows the previous day after the death of my business partner - you may have read about it in the newspaper. But not one hang dog saggy faced bum here wanted to listen, not even the barman.

He was a stand up guy, my business partner. A friend as much as a colleague. He was the brains of the operation. I had the dreams, he had the know-how, and we were on the way up. I'll never get there now, and I'm devastated. And now I have come down here to find out that two other good citizens if this fine city have met their end. What on earth is wrong with this place? Pour me another drink and hand me my hat.

I can't shake this feeling that Bobbyaro knows more about this than he's letting on. Why would he question how I knew the circumstances surrounding the deaths if he'd seen them in the news reports himself? Perhaps it was because he didn't need to read the news to know what happened...

Hey chef, you're here early mornings. What did you hear from the rooms?

You ask a lot of questions, pal. I heard nothing from no-one, I've worked here long enough to ignore the things that go bump in the night, if you get me. *winks at DavPaz* The bodies showing up around here are bad for business but that ain't my bag, as long as it ain't me waking up dead it don't matter much to me.

You look kinda hungry there, I ain't fired up the grill yet but I might have a tin of sardines I can put on some toast. *sniffs* Christ, they're supposed to smell like that, right? *coughs* It'll be fine, you look like you gotta strong constitution.

It's my job to ask questions, bub. We've got a crew of murderers working in this area. There's a fine looking widow with a fat wallet looking for answers. A fat wallet that I might be willing to share for the right information *winks*

But for now... sardines sound great.

I reflected that it doesn't take a lot to get a man killed these days. A couple of people speak up, and he's in the dirt a few hours later.

The only thing we really can go on, unlike the mysterious prostitute, is that Goddess Jasmine, Alarm and Gilly jumped in after me, as the clock was ticking, to push the vote through after it didn't really gain much initial traction. I'd be considering them very carefully, as that's all we've really got, it's not a lot, but it's a toehold toward fingering these goons. They are the usual suspects needing rounding up.

Some impressive fence sitting here by people more accustomed to bar-stool sitting.

I'd bet my fretless bass that some of them are hiding something.

Well, I never! You sir, will not be in my next movie! Call yourself a barman, more like a murderer! This poor lady has committed suicide, and you insist it is murder, then you describe in detail the murder, and expect me to sit here and not question you! Why you are despicable!

Why isn't anyone else voting to chuck Bobbyaro in a cell, huh? Twice now he's insisted it's suicide when the facts just don't stack up.

Hell, I'm inclined to throw him in the cellar with the rats for calling me a barman, doesn't that filthy slimeball know who I am?!

Know who you are? Of course I don't know who you are! Are you in the movies? Have you worked with the stars? Seen the bright lights? Experienced the magic of my films? Of course not! You are a lowly peon, perchance a murderous one, but lowly nonetheless. And as for your insistence that this is a murder; well, I say to you, I am looking for inspiration for a murder mystery film, I have produced some of the best murder mysteries in the business, do you not think I would recognise a murder if one had occurred?

Listen buddy, you might want to rethink what you're saying about me. I didn't 'jump in as the clock was ticking', I put forward a name for valid and stated reasons.
For a cleaning lady that gospvg was helluva shifty. For a start, I didn't recognise her even though she said she cleaned my offices. Secondly, I've worked a lotta cases and I've learned that when someone sends out confusing and mixed messages, their hiding something. I was damn shocked when we heard back from the cops about gospvg and I hope she gets another cleaning job in another place, the mad old bat.
I am suspicious of people who vote without reasons and for the reasons I mentioned earlier today I'm suspicious of GJ.
I'm gonna put my money where my mouth and hope this time we're luckier than a turkey on thanksgiving. [Vote:Goddess Jasmine]

Are you trying to save Alarm, for when your mafia buddy Goddess J turns up and votes for Bobbyaro, he'll go to the big house, leaving the villainous triumverate to continue with their nefarious deeds?

Look, these burgers are starting to stack up here, where the hell's the waitress?

Hey you, movie guy, I don't do smoothies and I don't know what an avocado is so you're outta luck. I'm suspicious of anyone who drinks their lunch and he's been going on about suicide and murder mysteries...? This town was fine until the film crew arrived, the only trouble was when the drunks got handsy with the girls and maybe a bit of food poisoning but nothin' like what's been going on now.

This goes beyond poor reading skills, dude. Even after already pointing out his glaring mistakes he's insistent that it's suicide.

I can forgive any man if he admits his mistakes. Hell, I had a misspent youth before I cleaned up my act and took over this club from Big Barry Shabaka. I'd still be living out of a gutter if he hadn't noticed me when I was younger and looked past my mistakes to see my true potential.

So why would he be doing that? Any logical reason for a bad guy to determinedly argue that it would be suicide?

Gilly, I voted for gospg yesterday for the same reason you did, Bobby hadn't done anything at that point to make me suspicious of him. I needed to leave for band practice and knew it was my only chance to get my choice in.

Gazchap's argument is rubbish. A bad guy would be an idiot to start shouting stuff about the cause of death that's quite clearly wrong.

"Do you know who I am!"

Bobbyaro is pulled from his chair and dragged to the cells. It seems nobody did know who he was…

Still, at least he might get a movie idea out of all this.

Bobbyaro was a Movie Producer, and also a Townie

You come in to relax and get away from work, but damn these waitresses, every single one seems to be an aspiring actress of some kind. If they found out your job you'd never get any peace. You would get good service though, maybe in more ways than one…

Night actions to me by 10am Friday please.
