[vote: Mr Christmas] for reasons explained in previous post.

I am not saying Mr Christmas isn't a goblin, but to be fair, his son is sick and was in hospital at the last update. He probably has bigger issues on his mind.

I am actually suspicious of CG and Myoptika, Myp's hasty retreat of vote could be an attempt to make him look innocent. I don't think the goblins would block vote so early, there is no need.

I am happy to vote for CG if it moves the game along - I just didn't want us to rush to a decision when there's plenty of people who haven't spoken up yet.

While I agree with you about Mr Chris to a point, we shouldn't use metadata as a reason not to vote for him. If he's not contributing to the game, he's not contributing to the game; regardless of 'outside issues'.

Sorry if that seems a bit heartless. I'm thinking purely with regards to the game.

There are reasons for quite a few people to be quiet so far - Mr C as mentioned, and those who were at the Cardiff meet. It's fair to say that non-attendance from those people shouldn't be taken as suspicious silence, but there's nothing to say you can't vote them out anyway.

I think there are plenty of reasons why someone wouldn't be posting at the moment (the meet in cardiff, work commitments - which I had yesterday, family commitments etc) I think they perhaps should be given the benefit of the doubt at the moment, and if they don't pick up then we could consider going for them.

People who only post when threatened with being mod killed should be viewed very suspiciously imo.

Sadly, I think the amount of "if you're voting for anyone then you're a baddun" only pushes more people into the silent bracket. Yes, you can be convincing if you're speaking, but equally it's quite possible that someone will take your words as proof that you're up to no good. I think it's true to say that your best bet if you're bad is to sit the first day or even longer out. If you're one of (say) 5 silent players then the chances of getting hit, even if the players finally decide to go for the silent ones (and given that several will be silent for purely innocent reasons), are pretty minimal.

Still, though, I think going after quieter people is a better bet, if still a gamble. There's just no reason for the bad guys to give themselves away at this point.

I'm happy to be left out in the cold in order to get the game moving, so don't feel bad for voting. :)

Right, so these are the people who have yet to contribute:

Goddess Jasmince Pie
HoHoHoans
Mr Christmas

I think Joans and Jasmine were at the meet, and Mr Chris has real life worries.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Looks like we've had a bit of a boob-up. Info has been disclosed to people it shouldn't have (in much the way I did in Myoptika's game). I'm reluctant to mod-kill anyone this early, as it would be a huge change to the dynamic of the game, so I'm going to call a restart. I'll call a close to the game here and send out new PMs with new roles for everyone - sorry folks!

Craster is a giant douche, a giant, giant douche. If someone fucks up by PMing the wrong person then that's on them, and the resulting modkill is all in fairness.

I really was a good boy, but there you go.

It was the fact the person sent the pm would have know all of the bad guys, and only solution woul dhave been to modkill said person which would have been unfair.

It wasn't me last time, it was Craster.

And yes the difference here is that Craster was the architecht of his own downfall, ("Could be anyone" - Ed) was not.

It is not Craster's fault. It is almost as if someone PMed all the bad guys, including one of the sleuths for some reason (you crazy fool!) and said sleuth then let them know. Though the sleuth was a bit perplexed that there was no follow up message from the bad guys to say "er, please ignore that, and don't use the email address I've just sent you".

Oh, and Craster's been a gent - I suggested the best thing would be to modkill me, be all strange about it and secretly appoint another sleuth. Unfortunately I'd still have had a bag full of info, so restarting is certainly the best thing for it.

I like to think I had put on some *pretty* sharp pressure that caused the error. How I'd ever repeat it I don't know.
