"Dunno"

Sorry, but there it is.

Mr Chris is the only one who seems faintly shifty and that was for immediately saying the rule change was a good idea, when clearly it's only a good idea if you're a vampire.

Why's nobody owned up to the biting yet? Are we going to entertain the possibility that there wasn't one? Mr Russ claims he was stalked, but nobody's voting for him so I can only assume he's telling the truth and had nothing to hide either.

Meh.

Unless he was roleblocked Sire.

I say we make a decision, and that should be Mr Chris, or Mr Russ. Or KevR for being annoyingly late ;)

Im tempted to go with Mr Russ...

what say you, masses?

I'm sticking. It's got me stumped so I unless someone makes a stupid mistake and outs themselves then I don't see much point in switching.

I have already pointed out how stupid it would be for Mr Russ to claim the Vigilante roleblocked him, if he was actually roleblocked. That's not to say he wouldn't do it, either as part of a cunning plan, or because he really is that stupid.

I'm reluctant to go for a NoLynch, because as has been said before, we're just letting the night people play the game and we're just wasting time during the day. Maybe, we'll learn more tonight, but I doubt it, and if the sire did get a bite in and that person doesn't say anything then there'll be 3 vampires in the morning.

I'm convinced Mr Russ is just a townie - and if he's not the vigilante has his number.

I think kevr needs to defend himself or be mod-killed, so I won't vote for him.

I am suspicious of Mr Chris, but I'm not sure if there's any reason for that other than being a bit aggrieved that he thought I was a vamp.

So I'm not sure I want to vote for any of them right now.

I am as clueless as anyone else.
I will freely admit that.
But I think that Mr Russ is being somewhat random, not as random as last time, and he was a vanilla last time. That means he might be something more this time.

As for Mr Chris, just a hunch. And I wanted to see what his reactions were earlier.
I'd still see him hang though.

as for you Joans, I was just bandwagoning to move the game on.

Get some balls and put some faith in your higher power to guide you to the right decision.

Nb correct decision involves lynching someone, preferably not me.

why did he[mrruss] ever bring it up at all? maybe by announcing it hes trying to make himself look innocent not only to ourselves but more specifically to the vigilante who may have been in doubt as to what he had roleblocked at night because I believe he doesnt know what role or action he blocks and has to find out by the events of the day. If im wrong there please speak up before I get mr russ lynched again. Also it doesnt mean he's guilty either because he could as you say just be stupid or he could actually be trying to look innocent not because hes a vampire but that hes a power townie and may fear the vigilante.

That's fair enough, I've done the same myself.
I said earlier that I had an opportunity to try and cast my vote in such a way to start another bandwagon (against Curiosity), but as I don't know who everyone is I might do more harm by getting somebody else lynched that isn't me.
I know what my role is, but I can't say the same about anyone else yet.

We haven't looked at the odds today have we?

19 of us left:
1 Sire
1 Childe
1 Serial Killer
1 Costumed Vigilante (assuming Mr Russ is telling the truth)
1-3 Masons as we've lost 1.

So that's 5 out of 19 that definitely have roles.
The other 14 could be:
The other 2 Masons
Eddie and or Alex Van Halen (or neither of them)
0-2 priests
0-1 Loon
0-1 Psychiatrists

With the rest being 6-14 townies.

So we've a 3 in 19 chance of hitting a bad guy
somewhere between 2 in 19 and 7 in 19 of hitting a useful townie (if the masons are useful, you're not doing much for us at the moment, guys. Also there may only be one of you)

So the odds are still against us.

We didn't know to start with whether we had a vigilante or not. By speaking up Mr Russ has (apparently) told us we've got one without the vigilante having to announce it in the thread that we had one. Whether it's advantageous to the vampires/SK to know there's definitely one around, I'm not sure, but I'm going to trust Mr Russ and assume he did it with the best intentions.

*eagerly looks forward to Mr Russ being revealed as the Sire at the end of the game*

fook this

action required
without much though

[vote:Mr Russ]

that action was either really smart or real dumb, depending on who he is.
I think we should find out one way or the other.

I will not be changing my vote unless KevR does something earth shattering, and not even if there is a bandwagon event.

Merci!

Nah, if we kill him today, we'll find out he's nothing. It's only if we let him live will we end up regretting it.
I won't complain because it's one less vote for me, but if Mr Russ turns out to be a member of Van Halen we'll be in trouble.

I think the Eddy / Alex / Both wouldnt have made themselves so targetable perhaps.
Surely, Mr Russ has got the attention of most of the action types.
Unless he is a vamp, he will have the sire / childer interested.
The SK might want to off him if he is the Vigilante trying to be smart (it IS possible i think to double bluff, unless The Gaytreematerial can vouch for his posted PM?)
The SK and Vig might want to off him now regardless.

everyone knows the value of the Van Halen(s) to the town, acting wierdly would be foolish.
Thats of course with the caveat that the band is on tour in Barrow right now.

Man, this is a complex game.
I would rather there was a lynch happening today though than a nolynchy situation.
we learnt fuck all yesterday and lost two of our kin.

I will neither confirm nor deny that is a PM from me. People can write whatever they want in this thread, but you won't get anything out of me except through night actions and lynchings.

Mr Russ did say that he saw somebody yellow sneaking around outside, and then Dr Gaywood confirmed that anyone who was trailed by the vigilante would see him.
I think Mr Russ would have to be psychic to be doing a double bluff.

he doesnt know who he roleblocks, he just knows he blocks an action if the person he targets actually has an action.

I think it was said that he'd know if he'd stopped him from doing something (he caught him outside) or if he didn't have a night action (he was in bed). So if the vig caught him outside, there's a good chance he'll suspect him of being the Sire.

Well assuming he did catch him, the sire is the only one who didn't do something last night.... unless someone's not come forward... so it'd be a clincher.

Roleblocking a Van Halen or Priest would look the same though. The Costumed Vigilante would know he'd done a roleblock and nothing visible would change this morning.

11.30-ish. The 12.30 post is from half-past midnight. The night was scheduled to end at midday, so everybody must have put their actions in. The Sire does have an optional bite ability, so he may have chosen not to use it.

Also, the Sire is the one that gives the Childe orders, so he must have been around.

To clarify timing, this game day officially started at 11:30 today. This is nothing to do with night actions. I had already decided to myself that even if I had all night actions within an hour I wouldn't start Day II until this morning, because I don't want people playing games with post times. It started later, at 11:30, purely because I was late into work (had to drop car to garage for MOT) so I was offline until then.

Well, this day looks like a stalemate. I don't think that's such a bad thing, because none of us know anything. The only thing we do know (I think) is that the Vig knows what (if anything) Mr Russ is up to, so if Mr Russ is still alive on Day 3, he's v. probably a good guy. If he's dead, well, then we know either way for sure.

Assuming he's telling the truth about being roleblocked, of course.

Or he is the Sire and gets his Childe to roleblock a potential murderer; admittedly this is far fetched.

Or he is the Sire and gets his Childe to roleblock a potential murderer; admittedly this is far fetched.

I think (I hope) that if the vig had found the Sire he'd sing out asap.

Just for clarification, I wasn't roleblocked as I have no role. I was merely informed that a yellow lycra clad freak had been watching me all night.

See my post earlier. There is no way for the Vig to be sure he had found the Sire. If he receives a "roleblock success" message, but there are no visible actions missing, he could have blocked Bite, Pray, or Protect i.e. the Sire, a Priest, or a Van Helsing.

I wouldn't put this scenario past Richard Gaywood, not for a minute:

1 Sire, 1 Childe, 1 serial killer and a bunch of bemused townies.

I've not got much to add.

Craster's immediate following of me did seem reminiscent of the last time one of his sort followed me to a lynching... and he was a bad type!

But we really don't know enough, other than I've probably accused enough people during the day to die fairly soon!

:)

At one stage you nearly had no vampires and three serial killers. And no, I wasn't going to update the rules to explain this.

I'm not joking. However I can confirm that the rules in the FAQ are the rules we're playing under. I thought it was a little too unkind otherwise.
