To be fair, I was playing pretty dumb if I was the doctor. I was wondering what the record was for amount of votes received before dying, as that was going to be my target :)
I thought an early ludicrous doc claim would gain me a fair number of votes, but with enough doubt to not quite tip over the edge.

This bunch of townies are useless. I wonder if they are secretly hoping that they're in the Mafia, due to Riles lying and telling them there was a spare Mafia out there. If not, they're just not trying very hard.

Or they haven't got a clue who to vote for, which I suspect is the more likely. Is there any way you could give them a handy clue?

Assuming Malc isn't just making his visions up, can you give him one from us dead spirits.

"You are all Belms" or something similar.

There have been plenty of clues; changing the rules to give them a hint now wouldn't be fair.

The townies have completely ignored voting patterns and who the Mafia have been killing (basically anyone who has been accusing the right people).

It's not so much lynching the wrong person that gets me, more the unwillingness of everyone to vote. There's no way for the Town to win without a lynch, yet most Townies are content to let the days slide, seeming to prefer the certainty of not being wrong over the possibility of being right.

I may be particularly dumb, but I've never noticed voting patterns unless I know what they are (ie. because I'm running the game or because I'm the Mafia).
It seemed clear to me in this game, for example, that Craster and I were on the same team, but I'd never have noticed that if I didn't already know.

There is, of course, :this:

I think a rule change of "the person with the most votes gets lynched at sundown unless a nolynch is called" from now on might be beneficial.

I immediately saw a voting pattern. Somehow, despite being on the edge, Trooper wasn't lynched. Ergo he must have been a bad guy :)

We did one recently like that - the issue is that people *still* dont want to vote when they might be wrong so you lynch people with '4 votes' because only those people are willing to take the risk.

Another alternative would be that *everyone* has to vote and the day doesnt end until everyone had voted one way or the other ?

**edit** troopers last (Beex Noire) had the majority choose the vote

The hacker forces Mr Dom to vote for TheVision, and then he manually re-adds in the vote to secure the lynch? Suspicious much?

5 votes for a lynch and 3 bad guys still out there? I think it's all over, near enough.

Whilst it is not looking good for the town, it is possible for them to still win, especially if the Hacker causes them to vote for each other :)

Re voting patterns, it is a hell of lot easier to see them when you know what you are looking for. The Mafia killing off people who were voting for them might seem an obvious one, but who hasn't (when in the mafia previously) deliberately targeted someone else to try and implicate the people they voted for. It is impossible to know how the mafia are playing it at any one time, therefore the voting patterns are very difficult to discern especially when multiple people likely voted, and there are multiple mafia.

Mimi, Mr Russell, and Mr Dom.

When I clearly spell out the people who've voted to kill good guys and not kill bad guys it's not too difficult to discern though :p

Its three I think. One person found a bad guy on night 1, some people found friends on night one, one person found a frined on night two.

Given that Grim... said that all the masons found each other on night 1, that implies that the night 2 'friend' and night 1 'bad guy' were mafia finds, which means 3.

I would read that to be that an investigator found a bad guy on night 1, and then 'some people found friends on night one' could have been just the masons or a combination of the masons and mafia, so the number is unknown.

Duh, yes. As did I. I'm recollecting without actually checking my PMs and original thought process. I still concluded 3 from the numbers though.

I found a baddie on the first night (and they are still in the game) and at the same time the deputy found me - so we could have communicated - i guess it would have been a very different game if we didnt both die on night 1 :-(

I'm just gonna quote this again here.

Craster wrote:
KovacsC wrote:

Don't dislike that as an idea.

At the end of day three, these people were voting for Grim...

Trooper, myp, Runcle, Malc, Mr Dom, Bobbyaro, APoD, Mimi

At the end of day four, these people were voting for Trooper

ApplePieOfDestiny, Craster, Mimi, Malc, Grim..., KovacsC, Mr Russell, krazywookie, Joans

At the end of day five, these people weren't voting for myp

mr russell, mimi, thevision, malc, krazywookie

So, based on that, the most wrong voting has been from mimi and malc, closely followed by krazywookie and Mr Russell.

[vote:malc]
