With no new information to go on i am going to [vote:sinister agent] as i don't think we can afford to sit around and let the Mafia and Carneys pick us off.

Am happy to change my vote if anything more substantial comes up, but for now Sinister seems the most sinister person in town.

Quote:

sinister agent: 3 (nickachu, Trooper, Slightly Green)

Not voted: 11 (zaphod79, davpaz, applepieofdestiny, joans, bobbyaro, craster, goddess jasmine, alarm, flis, lacesensor, kovacsc)

I've had no orders for the plate so far. I can't even sell any to Joans as the pub is closed.

So are you a proper greasy spoon cafe? or one of the poncey new style ones?

What type of music do you want to buy? Good music will draw in the customers

Distinctive plates would bring customers in too.

Four for £30?

I would hope a cafe already had these....although that may be why he has no customers yet....

More the traditional cafe... I think greasy spoon is a fair description... Good quality food and low low prices..

Well, I initailly thought that as well, hence not saying anything before (I couldn't quite come up with a way to phrase it), however, it could be a good disguise. In other words I don't know.

I am actually a bit suss about Nickachu, for he was investigated last night, then SA comes in and fingers him. Actually that would be very silly of SA, so forget that.

Who haven't we heard from today? I note the bar is closed, have we heard from our resident tofu saleswoman?

Rest assured, I am back open for business now.

Sorry about the breakfasts, I trust you all found Kovacs' cafe to your satisfaction?

Um. That's bollocks. Craster was voted for first today, and mine was only the second vote of the day. Yesterday I voted for Trooper, and the briefest of scans shows that he wasn't the first, or the second person to receive votes that day (SG and APOD, if you must know).

I've said nothing this week that isn't basically "let's bandwagon the fuck out of somebody, because it's the only way we're going to get rid of the mafia". And I stand by that.

nickachu wrote:

I want to lynch people because it's the only way we're going to get rid of the mafia. And how, pray, does your act of trying to lynch me make you any different? And oh look, funny enough, people are forming a bandwagon because forming a bandwagon means you're evil, except when it's you that does it. Pah! I'm starting to wonder why the mafia are even bothered about this town.

Oh, I just realised what you're getting at there. Yes, it would be very daft if I were some kind of investigate-y person to stick my head up like that. Also if I were an investigator and discovered he was a crook, the sensible thing for Nickachu to do would be to kill me or push for a lynch today, rather than announce the investigation.

That was just my impression of what was going on based on how agressive you seemed to be, I was only looking into the square through my window which needed cleaned and therefore sound and light was travelling very very slowly so I couldn't remember clearly what had happened. Apologies., it wasn't a deliberate attempt to mislead and if what your saying is correct SA then I hope you can see it was a genuine mistake rather than anything more. It would be stupid of me to deliberatly try and mislead people with something like that when it can be easily checked, and note I didn't vote for you I was just urging caution.

@ SA well, it would be a good way to avoid suspicion from Nick, actually, so I reckon it is far too clever. :D But I agree about your involvement. I also agree with your assessment about gilly, although I can't figure out why she is lying about something so obviously found out.

@ joans - a pint of large, please barkeep.

Not sure that's such a great idea. If someone went out of their way to investigate Nickachu and then we kill him it'll be a waste of their time.

Drink?

A - We don't know for sure that Nickachu was investigated
B - The need for Nickachu to reveal that he was investigated completely escapes me
C - I'm not sure what we'd lose if Nickachu was lynched having been investigated. There's no-one actively supporting his claim, and we wouldn't expect the cop to reveal himself.
D - The cop was apparently incompetent. I'm not sure he'd leave that as a calling card.

Hm. I am now unsure of whether I should go back to voting for Nickachu, or stick with Gilly. I think... I think it's more likely that Gilly would expect me to check up on her statements, so if she were trying to attack me, she'd be more direct about it in the hope that sheer volume would paper over any cracks in the case.

So. In line with my earlier, and slightly stronger suspicions, [vote:Nickachu]. But I am prepared to change my vote if I think it will bag us a villain.

Sorry, been a funny old day, I went over to see what had happened to EBG but it was all a big boring to be honest, we could do with a good ol' serial killer to sort out these mafia types.

I have no idea what to think, it's been a really long day and I need a drink before anything.

Joans! A bottle of red please.

Busy day in the library today, it's most likely i'll be out back doing some sorting for the rest of the day, but I may be able to pop my head out from time to time.

Before I go, i'd just like to urge people to come to a decision today. I'm scared about what will happen over night, and really don't want to die! I don't have any magic powers, i'm not psychic, I don't know what is going on, but all I can say is for people to remember back on what people have said today, there has to be clues somewhere! I'm going to stick with my nickachu vote, as he seems to be acting strangely, and untrustworthy.

The machine in the town square is showing this -

Quote:
VOTE UPDATE

joans: 1 (Grim...)
malc: 1 (Gilly)
gilly: 2 (Mr Russell, Malc)
sinister agent: 3 (nickachu, Slightly Green, LaceSensor)
nickachu: 3 (sinister agent, Trooper, ApplePieOfDestiny)

Not voted: 9 (zaphod79, davpaz, joans, bobbyaro, craster, goddess jasmine, alarm, flis, kovacsc)

With 19 players alive, 10 votes are required for a lynch, and 14 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Now i am still feeling very clueless so will happily follow the majority, but i do have to agree with Trooper, we really need to go for a lynch today, just to be proactive and not just sit around waiting for the Carneys and Mafiosa to come and get us all.

The count down clock on the machine is showing we have 5 hours and 22 mins left to make our minds up, anyone got any thoughts?

I have been praying for guidance. Although I could never contribute to death of an individual personally due to my vows, I feel that the community could be forgiven in removing a potentially homicidal influence. As such, I will endorse the lynching of whoever has the most votes come sundown.

I must pray. Who will join me for a special mass?

irrelevant of popularity there are only 20 people in this town, so I think 500 was a bit ambitious.
