Trials Fusion out April 16

Retail version of Trials Fusion for PS4 and Xbox One bundled with season pass that allows access to six upcoming DLC packs.

Trials Fusion will hit digital stores on April 16 and retail shelves on April 18 in the UK, publisher Ubisoft announced today. The digital version will cost £15.99. No price was revealed for the retail version. In the United States, Trials Fusion will launch April 16 and the digital version for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC will sell for $20. A physical version for Xbox One and PS4 will be available at retail for $40 in the US.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 retail versions of Trials Fusion will come bundled with a season pass, giving players access to six upcoming DLC packs that will be released up until April 30 2015. The season pass can also be purchased separately for £15.99.

Developer Red Lynx’s managing director Tero Virtala told GameSpot "Trials has always been a digital game, but it's also coming to retail. It's selling for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and it combines the full game and the season pass."

"In April, when people get their hands on Trials, they’ll find it is the biggest and best Trials game ever. But we already have a roadmap of expansions, content packs and a plan for how we intend to keep on growing the game and making it bigger and better."

Yeah!

Now I just need a next-gen console to play it on.

[edit] No I don't!

I am not buying a season pass, as they are a mug's game, but will judge each DLC pack on its own merits. Cautiously optimistic about this as long as it's totally separate from the pay-to-win mobile game.

I'm not too sure about the DLC either. I much prefer to play the easier levels and try and perfect them, than the later longer levels. I expect the DLC will be more of the latter than the former.

April 16th is the release date I believe.
I might actually play something on my PS4 other than BF4 on that day :D

Reviewers are less than thrilled with this one, though.

I'm downloading! Couldn't find it in the PS4 store, but found it on the web store and could send it to my PS4 from there.

5Gb download though, that'll take a little while on my crappy internet.

I do like that I can buy it on my phone here at work - click a button and my PS4 will download it ready for me to play it tonight

Yup, it's basically trials all over again, which is no bad thing...

i'm trooperlooper2 if you don't already have me for some leaderboard action.

The uplay servers seem to be down at the moment, so I don't know what extra they give you if you are online with them too?

Trials again is good, but no reason for me to get a PS4 still.

Instead you're playing through your Batman backlog ready to join the rest of us with Arkham Knight right?

Just had a quick look on the store - 20 Euros seems a bit steep and 5GB takes an eternity over here, but I'm itching for some PS4 leaderboard action.

I'd be interested to hear Zaphod's opinion on the game.

If you want uplay to actually work you have to do the following

"You have to go to the PS4 dashboard, look at the related tabs on the Trials Fusion tile, and click on the "Bike Hue" blade. It will prompt you to log in to Uplay.

After doing so there, Uplay will now work inside Trials Fusion."

Can anyone tell me what on earth you're supposed to do on the Big Air skill game? I can only manage 30 or 40 metres and everyone else on the leaderboard has over 100.

Ping your stick to the right and release, just before the end of the runway.
Originally I thought you had to release while in the air, but that isn't the case.

When you say ping, do you mean give it a quick jab to the right and then let it go right away?

Hold it left and whack it right while hitting release at the same time.
Once in the air it doesn't seem to make a huge amount of difference, but I kept holding it right when I got my gold medal.

Yeah, so I dabbled a bit on Resogun before remembering this game. Heartening to see a reasonable number of players on my friends list leaderboards. Almost like old times. :)

Also heartening is blitzing some of your lame scores first time! :metul:

They've added teams now. I've set up one called 'Excellent', which has a frog as its emblem. Please feel free to join and get us up the rankings as it adds all our scores together!

I assume that's limited to PS4 and my xbone times are on a different leaderboard and won't count?
