This sounds like a perfect opportunity for a daring caper.

Rescue Mrs Grim from hospital.

We're gonna need four Mini Coopers, an IV stand, someone to hack in to the CCTV system and a nurse's uniform...

Just realised I hadn't yet booked any time off on the Friday. Oops.

Have now done so, we'll be there for about 2.30 - 3pm I expect.

Nope, with Zeppo and I basically being the entire web side of Source, we can't be taking too much time off at the same time :/

I really should have

b) laid off the booze for a bit.

There's a whole week to go. Surely someone here can just cobble one together by then. Don't ruin my semi delusional belief that you're IT genius geeks and the font of all tech knowledge!

Yeah. I think I made that one on the Thursday morning before the Cottage last year.

I'd make an iOS one, but I'd have to buy a Mac, and then pay some hellish fee for the privilege (unless something has changed), then get it accepted by the App store.

So a week may be cutting it thin.

It's not a hellish fee, it's $99, which you probably spend on lunch. On the other hand it probably wouldn't get approved by Apple, and certainly not in time; but you could add us all as beta testers and distribute it that way.

Or build it as a web app with a cache manifest, which if I get chance to do (hello reply all button!) I'll see if I can knock up this weekend ;)

Although as I'm without an Android phone, someone is going to have to clue me in as to what exactly that app does :P

//edit: Is it the one that plays either Ice Ice Baby or Cold as Ice for as long as you hold the button down? If you can throw me the MP3s Grim... I'll see what I can do ;)

In a way which can only be described as really fucking annoying, I've discovered that iOS 8 has a bug (at least, I hope it's not an intentional feature) that means that any web page added to the Home Screen as a web app. won't play audio.

That's incredibly annoying, as it is all there and ready to go, it just doesn't fucking work when you add it to the home screen.

Hnnnngh.

//edit: Only has touch events so it won't work on a desktop at all, in case you try it...

Don't have a Mac any more so no SDK/Xcode.

I could perhaps give PhoneGap Build a whirl though, but itd need peeps to give me their device IDs to be added as testers.

The app cache works though as far as I can tell so if you preload it before cottage and bookmark it it should still work without a connection.

Depending on how successful today turns out to be, the fudge selection at the cottage will be what's left of the smooth peanut butter fudge from before, a crunchy peanut butter and nuttela fudge, and an almond and kirsch soaked cherry fudge :)

Also, I have written most of the quiz. Aiming to have it finished actually before I arrive at the cottage, which might be a first.
