Yeah, it could fly, but it isn't as well equipped and the time difference is small, so the medical staff wanted to use the road ambulance. The race wouldn't have run if it couldn't fly anyway. |

Difficult to know what the truth is. To start it was that the helicopter couldn't fly because of the weather, but you can't hold the race if the copter can't fly. Then it was stated that the copter could fly, but they chose to go by road anyway. I've read that the trip is 45minutes by road and 10 by copter, which isn't a small time difference. The BBC coverage was awful, they didn't even realise Bianchi was involved until after the race had finished! |

They had no idea why the safety car had come out and only noticed a bit of Marussia bodywork well after the event (they were speculating sutil was injured). My guess is that the crash immediately looked so horrific that they didn't release it to the feed Edit: Judging from a photo of the state of the car after the crash and where its is, I'm not surprised that they haven't released the film. |

They knew Sutil was wandering around, but thought someone might have clouted a marshal. |

Hamilton has won 9 races to Rosberg's 4 so far. If he loses on the double points finale it will be a bit disappointing. |

Yeah, but boring that one. As much as I want Lewis to win, I'm no more excited by him leading unchallenged for 50 laps than I was when Vettel was doing it. |

I think that's a bit harsh on Button. He always performs well, but never gets the recognition he deserves. He destroyed Magnussen last season, yet he was going to be overlooked for him. I do agree that he will struggle in comparison to Alonso though, Alonso is the best driver on the grid in my opinion. |

I think that Alonso will be quicker. If not straight away then probably as the season goes on but I don't think the difference will be embarrassing. |

It's been a long time since Jenson has been out-performed over the course of a season by a teammate, so it's going to be interesting. Trooper wrote: Alonso is the best driver on the grid in my opinion. And has been for some time. |

The results may have been skewed by numerous retirements from the lead by his teammate, but the difference was pretty clear, particularly in the mid season. |

There is a much bigger difference between a drivers level between his first and second year than any point later. Particularly now they get approximately sod all testing prior to the first race. |

I think his performance there relative to Hamilton shows that he's a pretty top notch driver. Two points over a season in 2010. He's certainly not some sort of bum who is going to get "destroyed" by Alonso anyway. Looking forward to seeing what'll happen, though. Because although the Ferrari was a bit shit this year I still didn't see much from Alonso that reminded me why everyone reckons he's the best. |
