Whilst my bus was waiting at a stop, I saw probably the most horrifying advert in a print shop window I've ever seen. In big colourful letters it proudly boasted:

"We sell celebrity cutouts! Ask inside for our range!"

Really sorry to hear you've been so wiped out and in need of a rest. I was back to work this morning after a bit of a tidy up, been doing loads of wedding planning all evening and still at it now. We are still finding stuff all over the house. I worked Friday, so a normal length weekend for me, but a wonderful one at least.

Bugger. I've just realised than when I bought an Android game a while back I was giving money to someone who'd cloned the game rather than the original developer. The game didn't require any permissions so I'm not worried about security or anything but it's not great to realise you've given money to some scamming arsehole.

I've emailed the real dev with links to the cloned versions so at least they can get them taken down.

I'm not worried per se, I'd just rather have seen my money go to the person who'd done the actual work and not some scamming cunt is all. Mobile devs get such a shitty deal with all the miserable, greedy, moaning cunts that populate the various app stores and think they're entitled to anything they want for free so I like to be able to pay for something I've enjoyed.

You misunderstand (or, more likely, I haven't described it very well): it's not a clone in the way Candy Crush is like Bejewled; it's exactly the same game just released under a different name. Here's the real game and here's the clone.

That is the fact why the game is the same (except the name).

And he's right, if I log out of my Google account I get the same error as Grim when trying to hit that URL but when I log back in it's magically available again. I didn't realise Google did that but it's quite a nice way of ensuring that existing customers can always get their hands on what they bought but new people can't buy something that's been taken down.

It's an odd arrangement as well to sell the same game under a new name and developer account but maybe the original dev just didn't have time to maintain it or something. The new dev has put out a new version with improvements according to the changelog so fair play to him.
