It is a shame, you can't swap in the alliance.

The Hood is a character that gets exponentially better when you get his powers up to Level 5 (apart from black. His black power is shit). I have 5 for yellow (means it no longer ends the turn) but need several more blue ones.

I am having absurdly bad luck today. Lost 5 out of my last 6 in the Ragnarok event, despite having the better team each time. The AI keeps on getting ludicrous chains and beating the crap out of me in very short time. I've dropped over 100 points from where I was :(

Madness. I win every game against people in the SHIELD training one, even against better teams, but lost three more in a row in the Ragnarok one. Last time I was winning, then they matched a vertical 4, which dropped in a blue 5 in a row, then another blue 5, and then a pink 5. Black Widow then healed the team, stole all my shit, then hit Thor's red, which hit a cascade to hit Thor's yellow, then Rag's green. After my next turn they hit both of Widow's again, then the Thor- Thor-Rags combo again.

This is happening too often.

Sweet. Back to back into Season Two, with some kick ass rewards again. Get 5000 points for a Heroic 10 pack.

That's an average of 500 points per event, but then you can subtract from that your score from the SHIELD training bit, which is pretty easy to get to 1000 on, which makes it 400 per event.

Even at lower levels there's a nice 3* Iron Man at 3000, and loads of 1 and 2 star rewards from the SHIELD training.

Yay Season One rewards! 4 heroic tokens!

Boo nothing above 2*.

Cynic in me wonders if they altered the drop rate.

I got 2 star BW *2, 2 star thor and 3 star daredevil.

I could use the daredevil cover, but not much use really.

Mostly.

Her blue power is useful against countdown timers and the like, and the very strong protect tile is good. The green power that pops the bubbles is potentially good too, but I have five blue and no green.

Overall the current 4* characters are not considered to be as good as the best 3* ones.

The most recent poll of players gave the rankings as follows. This doesn't include a lot of the new characters, nor the recent nerf to Spiderman:

1. Spider-Man
2. Magneto (classic)
3. Wolverine (Patch)
4. Black Panther
5. Punisher
6. Black Widow (original)
7. Hulk
8. The Hood
9. Black Widow (grey)
10. Thor
11. Psylocke
12. Ares
13. Doctor Doom
14. Iron Man (Model 40)
15. Storm (classic)
16. Storm (modern)
17. Magneto (Marvel Now)
18. Wolverine (yellow)
19. Daken
20. Ragnarok
21. Invisible Woman
22. Loki
23. Captain America
24. Hawkeye (modern)
25. Black Widow (Modern)
26. Daredevil
27. Juggernaut
28. Moonstone
29. Iron Man (Model 35)
30. Venom
31. Wolverine (X-Force)
32. Bullseye
33. Hawkeye (classic)
34. Bag Man
35. Yelena Belova

Interesting that there is a 1* higher than both 4* characters and a fair few 3*, plus 2* Thor is very high up (you'd imagine that New Thor would be up near or at the top).

Yeah. It's missing Lazy Thor, Lazy Cap and Lazy Daken, Sentry, Nick Fury, Falcon and maybe some others.

I'm out! I was already a little bit concerned with the amount of time I was sinking into the game, and the Spidey nerf (which would mean I'd need to invest even more time to get the same results) was the last push I needed to get me fully out the door. So, yeah. God speed, you magnificent bastards.

Just tried fighting a L140 3* Thor. Heh. Didn't go well. If he gets 8 red then it's game over. Pair with OBW and that goes quick.

Yep, that was the final result. Got an invisible woman and a couple of magneto cards plus iso/cash.

Bit of a bizarre one, i was about 250ish, played for about half an hour waiting for my wife to get home, got to 1st really quickly and put on a shield and won. I wonder if the update somehow messed things up so peoples scores didn't feed in.

My Wolverine Path is Level 112 to start with, so I'm rather enjoying him being boosted at the moment. Hope to end high up in that one.

Also levelling him up more from the tons of ISO available in the Simulator.

I like the recent update too.

Black Widow with the black suit has a nice healing power.

I'm currently using Thor, Storm Classic and her (depending on boostedness, as sometimes Wolverine is boosted higher in lvels than one or the other).

Hulk, **Hawkeye and **Daken are my go-to team. Hawkeye's red and blue powers are devastating.

Hawkeye is powered up at the moment on the Simulaor too (or at least he was yesterday).

My go-to team if I want to not use health packs is:

Punisher (125)
Iron Man (102)
Black Widow (85)

She can heal and steal, Iron Man generates red/blue/green, and Punisher kills everyone. I can normally go a while without taking damage.

Alternatively, if I just want to deal damage then I have Patch and Magneto over 100, and Hulk/Hood in the high 80s.

2* Wolverine, Ares and OBW are my usual team (85 / 67 / 85) but I'm currently working on powering up C.Storm and Thor as well

OBW combined with Wolverine's Feral slash make for some insane matches as the damage stacks once those attack tiles are out there and 1500+ can be wiped off your enemy in one go. But then I get pissed off because I've been saving the blue healing power and I don't get a chance to use it.

Also, really never attack a maxed out Lazy Thor. Killed my team (L176,125,102) in five turns on his own. Call The Storm does 4k to one guy and 2k to the others, coming off the back if another 4k from the red and yellow powers.

Fucking hell it's going to take me a lot of goes on the simulator to get enough points for the OBW covers. I really wish this game worked where there was no signal (namely, on the shitter).

Hulk is such a badass when you increase his black power (lolracist).

Pair him with someone who creates strike tiles for both teams (Patch), then create said tiles, stick Hulk at the front, and watch the enemy kill themselves :D

I'm pretty certain Hulk is bugged. His black power triggers every time when you play against him, regardless of how much you hit him for.

Gah, I hate fighting against modern Storm and modern BW. Constant stunlocks, AP steals, and Storm specials.

Nah, just his threshold is very low (5% of health) so it generally only needs a couple of hundred damage to set it off.

Best tactic is either to stun him, hit him and then wind back his timers, or save up your big hits so you can take him down in one go.

So, who does everyone kill first when facing opposition?

I always go for Storm first (leave her until late and risk accidentally getting her yellow retribution power in yo face), then OBW and Spidey (less so since the nerf). In PvE kill Bullseye first if he's at L80+ as his protect tiles are a bitch. Also kill Lazy Thor ASAP, as he's an overpowered dick.

Storm (because of retribution) and OBW first and second. Then anyone with a stun. Then anyone with a bonus to attack. If there's no obvious target, I go for the lowest HP first.

I'm pretty sure that no matter what you hit him for it will trigger, even under 5%.

I always go for OBW first, then any storms. Sometimes if it a modern storm I might go for her first, as her hailstorm attack annoys me. It doesn't do much damage, but it really interrupts the flow of turns!

Powered up, the Hailstorm is an extra 200+ damage, so not insignificant.

Always BW. The stuns and the AP steals are just too fucking annoying. Storm is OK if she's not being constantly fed AP by BW.
