Ha, yeah, instead of working from home,i've been in London a fair bit which has gave me about 3 hours a day to fill - I haven't spent anything on it either!

It's a pretty generous game, but the very first version was ridiculous - the prologue missions gave you a defined one or two star character for each victory. My three star characters apart from a couple are pretty pump, and it's a little annoying lately how they've made a trend of making some missions only available for the newer characters.

Bit disappointed with the last two characters added. Not only are Thor and Captain in the game already, the new ones have for exactly the same skills as the ones that were already there. Seems a bit daft.

So many duplicates and obscure characters. Use more classic X-Men!

At least I have a Dr Doom this time around :)

I'm currently sitting on 30000 ISO, waiting for covers to come up that I can use...

Damn, whereas I am in an ISO drought, with too many covers to train up.

At least there's a new set of Prologue missions, so I can get 200 bonus for first time completion on each new mission.

Dark Avengers it's called. Might have been there a while. It's new to me, anyway.

That it has.

Massive ISO frenzy with this event. You get 200 for finishing each one, and there are 20 each time. 4000 for finishing them. Then the first time round there was 5000 bonus and second time 2000 bonus from the 'special missions'. Total now is 15k. Assume similar third/fourth time round and that's 27k ISO before you even get any of the regular rewards. So easily over 30k in total.

That'd cost about fifty quid if you stupidly bought ISO, and is the equivalent of about 11k in coins, which to my mind is a fuckload more valuable than ISO.

when you say iso equiv as coins, do you mean the cost in real money, or is there a way of converting iso to coins?

Equivalent cost of buying them. Alas, you can't convert, so people often end up short of one or the other (I still have tons of people available to train).

I have Invisible Woman and could increase her to L74 or so, but she's ruddy useless until I get her Green power, which I probably never will

One of my favourite characters is Black Widow Modern. The fact that she level caps at 40 is massively fucking irritating, because she's now basically useless.

But very useful in the current "One Star Only" event.

The other two Widows are also thoroughly useful (3 of them! 4 if you count Yelena! Yet no Captain Fantastic, Cyclops, Gambit, etc).

Gray Suit Widow is excellent, but a bit pointless given that my two big hitters are Hulk and Wolverine, and both of them already use Green/Red points.

I sold almost all of my 1 star characters, as I needed the space, and the only use for them is the lone start tournament that comes round once a month.
I still have Black Widow Modern though, just in case I need her stunlock capability.

I still have BW, Jugs and Hawkeye of 1* characters. The latter two are useful if boosted.

Holy shit, I might have to get back 1* Storm. Just took on a team with a L120 Doom, a L105 Punisher and a L50 Storm. Of the three she totally whipped me. She did 2/3 of her powers every single turn, and each time it generated about 10AP of all colours.

Most annoyingly it lost me 40 points in the lightning round and moved me down by about a thousand places.

The current set up of one fight in the Simulator is quite funny. It has 3* Thor with two minions who both generate green AP. As a result he uses Call The Storm every 2-3 turns. Once you take out Thor though, you can squish the others easily. It's just a question of if you can kill Thor before he takes you all out. Found it hard at first, but using Hawkeye's avoid skill means he usually survives long enough to kill everyone.

Fun times.

I've not lost while using Hawkeye, but once it was because he decided not to Storm me and instead created a couple of countdown tiles. The fool.

I tried using every different character that had a stun function, but none got there quickly enough before dying!

It's a neat, if cheap, trick they've pulled. I like it.

Spider-Man was my solution there. Stun the bugger to minimise his sodding Calling Of The Sodding Storm, then heal everyone back up when he's dead.

1st place in Simulator: Hard Mode! Huzzah! Got two bloody ** Wolverines and a Bullseye out of it! Hurroo.

Could do with you feckers in our alliance!

We just got 50 gold and 250 ISO for the lone star event. Woo.

I have recently received about 30 Ares covers. Almost every token I get now is Ares.

I still haven't got his green power.

where is that thor thing? has it gone already?

Also, I am doing the simulator thing, not lonestar. I wondered why the clan didn't have many points. I am fast approaching 50k simulator points, i think. it would be useful if it told you. I am somewhere between 25k and 50k

It does tell you, select the first event with the 2 rounds in it. The score in that is your overall score.

I have 102574 points so far in the simulator.

The Thor Event just started and runs for another 2 days 8 hours.

Annoying finish point. I'd love to place high as I really want more 3* Wolverine covers (despite his main attack being insane and gifting the opposition strike tiles)

Pooh, there's a fun tactic.

Patch does his green attack for 1100 damage, and creates three powerful strike tiles for each team.

Loki then changes all the enemy strike tiles to really strong friendly protect ones.

Wow. That's a lot of ISO.

I was very happy that I just scraped the point necessary for the 8k ISO bonus at the end of the Simulator. Also got a couple of green Ares covers. I probably need another billion ISO to Max out all my characters though. Can you target events which give away covers you need? There's a Hulk one available from the one at the moment.

Just checked your roster. Surprised that you've only had two Daken covers; I get those bastards all the time!

BTW - next new character is the Human Torch, and then a 3* Daken.

Yeah, i'm currently 18th in that I think, depending on when it finishes I might push for a high finish.

A sold all my Daken cards when I wasn't collecting him and didn't have the space to add him to my roster :(

Free Hulk clap is 90 days reward.

I'm approaching free Grey Widow green cover (which I very much want) for 105 days.

Then Yellow Hood at 120
Blue Magneto at 135
Green 4* Wolverine at 149

Should be another cover at 165 or thereabouts. Possibly Invisible Woman. If so I hope it's her third power and not the blue one.

That's nice to know, thanks.

A late-night rush at the leaderboard and some judicious shielding got me into the top 10 in the Hood event, which nabbed me two Black Panther covers to make him the first character I can level to 141. On balance I'd rather have 5 yellow / 3 blue / 5 black than 4 yellow / 4 blue / 5 black but y'know. Earth-616 problems.

You can change the powers around if you get the card you want later without having to relevel i think - it just uses the new card up and you decide which power to lower in exchange.

It amuses me that I just had a fight against a L150 Hood, L150 Doom (both 3* characters) and a L85 Thor (2*), and the character capable of the most damage, by a ridiculously significant margin, was the 2* Thor. After I had taken out the two L150 people, Thor casually dispatched my entire (all 3*, all over L100) team in three turns. I really should just join the dark side and level him up. He's still massively overpowered (and more powerful than the 3* Thor at equivalent level).
