It appears it is Savagery, from the druid side.....up until now I hadn't noticed it was fecking missing....

Will be making it later I guess, as it will likely bug me also.

Basic cards are from levelling up each character to L10, so you should be able to get it for free ;)

Ahh, the problem is the Spreadsheet it seems, some noob who you paid to make it for you must have gotten confused and put Savagery as a basic card, when it is actually Rare.

I suggest you call up the young wippersnapper you hired and give him a damn good thrashing. :)

My lowest level is Shaman on 23, the rest are mainly in the 30's apart from Warlock on 45 and mage on 51 so as soon as you pointed out basic my razor sharp mind flew to the conclusion....damn I need coffee, I always ramble on when I need coffee

I obviously never used it at the time but it looks as if it was a good Druid board clear spell - use something to get attack damage and then deal that damage to every enemy minion

Most definitely up for the ladder challenge.

Are we supposed to stick with one deck for it or are we free to use a selection?

Any amount of decks you want, just climb as high as you can

Blizz perma ban Win traders

Quote:
Fair play is at the heart of Hearthstone. The Ranked Play ladder is a place where players have the opportunity to duel and gauge their card-slinging prowess while climbing the ranks. Participating in Ranked Play should be fun, exciting, competitive, and fair.

We’ve recently banned Hearthstone accounts that were found to be participating in win trading. Win trading at any rank is something that we do not take lightly, and is in violation of our Terms of Use. As we mentioned in our previous statement regarding fair play in Hearthstone, instances of cheating will not be tolerated. Accounts that were discovered participating in win trading have received permanent account closure and disqualification from events where ranking is used as a method of qualification.

nice to see they are finally closing off some of the loopholes, a few of the top/pro gamers have lost their accounts Specialist and Gabe Walls(according to PC Gamer). Specialist was the person who brought the flaw to Blizz's attention during beta.

queue all the whingers and moaners -

Quote:
You ban botters for 3 month with no penalty but ban wintraders forever?

In my opinion the botters are far more worse...

Whats wrong with you Blizzard?

Quote:
Bot to legend rank using a zoo deck that has 52% average win rate at any rank, receive 3 month suspension

Win trade to legend rank using friends, receive perma ban

????

Profit?

Don't forget everyone will be climbing again, it's always a bit brutal at the start of a new season in Ranked. You can just leave it for a couple of days and all the better players will have zoomed off up the ranks again, or just enjoy the enhanced tussling that Ranked represents at the lower levels at the start of a new season.

Tough games out there at the moment, Control Warrior is a very bad match for Hunter, if you can't get them down before Turn 8 it's just one Legendary after another, and of course their hero power counters the Hunter hero power perfectly.

Also had an incredibly close one against Secrets Mage, two Flares just about got me over the finish line for a win.

I might craft an Alex and have a go with EBG's Psycho Warrior Deck, already got the Grommash and everything else.

I've experimented with a Warrior deck, but without Alex, Grommash or several of the Warrior specific cards it only occasionally works. When it does and you get an Acolyte, Armoursmith and Frothing Bezerker working it's hilarious though.

I imagine I'll mostly be using Hunter and Warlock.

18 games later and I'm 17.2. 10 wins and 8 losses. Very hard going!

Turns out I didn't have a Brawl either, so that's 2000 dust gone on a Brawl and Alex. I now have 60 dust left, sob.

This deck had better be good!

It's a bit, erm, weapony, isn't it....

One quality opponent after another, got to Rank 18, busted back down to 19, couple more losses and I'll be back to fucking 20!

Also EBG, what's the battle plan with this deck loaded with six weapons? It's just like, loads of weapons, and the Rampage seems a bit odd too.

Now admittedly I did just manage to take out most of a Hand Lock's giants with the deck, and wasn't a million miles off being able to get lethal with Grommash, but it seems rather insane.

Rank 20, thanks to an UTTERLY INFURIATING game against a fucking priest (what else) with the EBG deck. Not withstanding the fact he was able to constantly heal himself, he was also pinching my cards and chucking them back at me, any other class I'd have won, but the combination of his constant heals and stealing my Shield Blocks (BOTH OF THEM) and my weapons as well, was fucking ruinous.

Got through all six weapons in the deck and it still wasn't enough.

This is a very unpleasant start to the new season.

Deep breaths. I'm averaging 50% win rate here. These start-of-season opponents at the high ranks are clearly very good players.

With Warrior you have to hold off a bit. Against a Priest I'm really looking to just control the board until I can drop Alex. Hopefully I've got a weapon in hand so I can bop him down to 10 or 11 on the same turn. Next turn I should have another weapon handy to do at least 4 or 5, preferably with a Korkron elite to do another 4. Unless he's got some quick clear or taunts, I should be able to batter through to victory.

IF ONE MORE FUCKING PRIEST STEALS A FUCKING FLARE OFF ME TO DESTROY MY OWN SECRETS......

Lots of Priests out there, can't say I blame them in that regard they're a great Hunter-counter class, along with Warrior.

I still hate them though. Warriors are noble combatants, Priests are sneaky fucking slimebags.

EDIT - For fuck's sake, four fucking Priests on the trot in Ranked. I CALL SHENANIGANS ON BLIZZ'S MATCH-MAKING.

EDIT THE EDIT - I beat this one on Turn 6. I hate Priests, he was stealing my stuff too.

EDIT - Fifth consecutive Priest, first turn Mind Vision. I hate them.

I've been bouncing around between rank 17 and 18 - ended up going for a relaxing trip into the arena instead and had a druid with 4 innovates - best it got me was a Ironbark out on turn 3 (coin + 2)

Also had a game earlier with my hunter against a mage - turn 3 they drop the 2/8 thats deathrattle is play one of your cards onto the board - i use deadly shot and it drops King Krush - and 2 moves later the game was over :-)

Only played twice today, but won both as a Warlock to finish a quest. Got me up to L18. Too tired to play again though.

a) Really annoying

but

b) Really good

It's a constant battle for (b) to win over (a) and watch his videos.

But then he does make amaze-balls play like this:

Versus Zoo Lock with EBG's Warrior deck. 11 cards in before I get a weapon, how does that even happen when there are six of them in the deck? I even fucking mulliganed for them as well.

Yeah I controlled the board down fairly well early on with the tools available to me and TBH I thought I might make it, but 11 turns without a weapon for an extra attack per turn just proved to be too much lack of overall impact, and of course he can tap for an extra card every turn.

I dunno maybe I'm just not playing the deck right, certainly I fucked up against the Priest where I was trying to run him down rather than control until I had the Alex, although she's had a dreadful habit of not turning up when I need her, and being a legendary there's only one in there, and she could very well be the last card in the deck, or near enough.

Which variant, the Death Trap one?

With good card draw it's damn near unstoppable against most classes. Warrior looks like a bad match on paper but try to mulligan for a Highmane (or keep one), as insane as that might sound.

Obviously Flare goes up massively in value against other Hunters, and it's very strong against Mage and to an extent Pally as well.

I struggle against Priests though, you really need very nice card draw to beat that match IMO.

It can go to a surprisingly long game though, whilst most games are over well before Turn 10, I've had some go way past that, and still won, as there are actually some big cards in there.

I was quite cynical about the UTH and Houndmasters making a reappearance, but they can be wildly effective following a Snake Trap activation.

Climbed up to Rank 14 without too much trouble but then dropped back down to 15 on a bad losing streak, and I was definitely losing concentration and starting to drop a few clangers for those losses. (Sleep-walked into a Brawl from a Warrior, and then an Auchenai > Circle from a Priest, very dumb.)

I think it's only possible to maintain proper focus for a certain amount of time at a stretch in Ranked, so I'll decamp to something else for a while. Maybe pick up Ranked again a bit later on this evening, or tomorrow.

Two most brutal wins for the session were both against Hand Lock, Turn 6 and Turn 4 (!) wins.

Snake trap. I really enjoy playing the deck even when I don't win.

Unlike Zoo which I have a high win rate with but I don't really enjoy the games.

Oh my god. Ben Brode's laugh. I start watching the video and think 'What? This isn't funny', and then after a minute I have to crack a smile, and then after a couple of minutes I start chuckling. Within 5 minutes I've paralysed by laughter and I can't stop. Jesus H Crockolisk.

I'm at 16 , and just got 300 gold for winning my 1000'th game

Also a question - is the challenge for the highest rank you achieve during the month , or for the rank you end the month on ?

The highest rank achieved during the month rather than whatever you're at come month's end, I would say. Seems the nicest option for what's just supposed to be a bit of a friendly competition :)

Also a question - is the challenge for the highest rank you achieve during the month , or for the rank you end the month on ?

The highest rank achieved during the month rather than whatever you're at come month's end, I would say. Seems the nicest option for what's just supposed to be a bit of a friendly competition :)

Seems the best idea, it should reduce any loss anxiety towards the end of the month :D

Tough going with a control mage in this meta, I think i'm going to have to switch decks.

I switched out to Zoo for speed and went to 14 last night. Win or lose, it's much faster than a control. Ironically I think my Warrior will be much better at the higher ranks where Zoo can't batter through.

Have had a horrible run with my hunter deck and dropped back to 15/16, was getting terrible starts but think I may change for zoo for a while then maybe go control also

I got to Rank 14 *** with the Death Trap deck last night, and I really didn't play that many games (the month still has a long way to run after all). I got the 100 gold quest and I switched to Casual to finish off the 7 wins rather than stay out in Ranked.

I'm definitely getting better with the deck too, the mulligan choices are very different depending on what class you're up against. Priest and Warrior are still a tough match but whereas for a while they felt like almost an auto-lose, I'd say I'm managing maybe 50/50 against them. Getting off to a good start with the Undertakers is nice, but certainly not required.

I find EBG's Warrior deck a bit too erratic to be a serious contender for a ladder climb, and without some synergies going on with the Armorsmiths and Acolytes it can all get a bit ugly.
