These were some of the best RTS games made, and hands down the best space ones.

Homeworld's ship design and atmosphere is so wonderful, I suspect that's most of the reason why it is so well loved. Gameplay was pretty neat too.

And yet astonishingly there are countless space themed games out there who don't think it important to hire a decent concept artist. Did you see the Sid Meier's Starships? They look like glued together shoe-boxes with stubby little wings.

Oooh, lush. Audio sounds great too. I especially enjoy the sunbeam effect when your ship blocks a sun.

Has anyone EVER been able to get all six colony pods? I was within a few seconds of saving them all, but had to make do with five in the end. Blub. I guess if you build two salvage corvettes in the previous mission you're in with a chance.
