Notwithstanding, very nice to see you regardless mate. Trust all is good with you. :)

Weeeell, yes, but then there's something to be said for being the bigger man (something I'm sure you're both metaphorically and *ahem* literally set up for ;) ), and it's better for everyone if everyone is nice to each other. And then we all frolick gaily through the frields of bunnies and sing to the baby bluebirds etc.

Maybe not. :)

Exceedingly so, yes, thank you - I hope the same goes for you?

@ Mr Kissyfur (obv)

I know what you're saying mate (and let's not dwell on it), but if "being the bigger man" and taking the moral high ground means I'm the one who is in self-imposed exile whilst those actually responsible for all the unpleasantness are cheerfully carrying on regardless, in precisely the environment they wanted - then ballsacks to that as they say. To some, the fact that they're clearly in the wrong matters not one whit; as long as the end result is achieved (i.e. people they don't like no longer post), that's great. Well, I've decided not to give 'em that satisfaction.

Anyway.

Glad to hear all is great with you mate; that's fab news. Not too bad this end; tough times obv., but still managing to make a reasonable living. Got a bloody ear infection though which is feckin' painful - off to the docs in a bit.

Huh. It's actually looking like it'll be cheaper to pay 2 men to move our stuff 400 yards up the road than to hire a van and do it ourselves. Which suits me.

*because we'll have to have the van over the weekend if we were to hire one or somesuch. mrsA did explain this to me, but she's got the poorlies and I was trying not to catch it.

Actually, a hybrid solution of this and a man with a van to take the larger stuff would be considerably cheaper, but also kicked into the long grass by the boss.

... you're actually deigning to respond to me about this directly, rather than getting one of your clique to do it for you? Wow, wonders never cease.

So, you're claiming you were only quoting AE verbatim and thus these are neither your own words or sentiments? Well, here's the thread, your post is on Page 2. I cannot see any evidence of AE saying anything of the sort, so perhaps you'd like to direct me to this post of his? (That'll be a long wait I reckon)

You need to ask yourself, Mali - who's the boss? WHO'S THE BOSS, EH?

And then ask yourself, who's the guy that the whole internet loves, the suave space pirate with a nifty line in red shirts, unused bikes and chatting up the lower orders in low-rent hostelries?

If those two people aren't the same, something has gone seriously wrong.

Ah, OK, fair enough. I apologise for that. I'll remove the sig.

Still, it materially changes nothing as far as I'm concerned.

Colleague wished me a happy independence day when I came in this morning. I said I was celebrating the 150th anniversary of the twin victories at Vicksburg and Gettysburg. I'm like that.

I don't think Casablanca would have been the classic it was if this was the dialogue!

Hi Cavey! I think there is a difference between not giving a shit about what others say, and deliberately going up to people and saying "I hate you"

This, without doubt, is true - more so than anyone else on the forum.

But that's perhaps because you're wrong more often ;)

All women flight crew to save fuel costs. £330,000 in fact, as women are, on average 20kg lighter, so they say. Next stop, retired jockies!

Welcome back Cavey. Come to the BBQ.

Hiya mate, thanks for that. Someone already very kindly asked, but Mrs C has had an operation earlier this week, nothing nasty or serious, but it means she can't drive or lift anything for a few weeks and I need to be around at home as much as possible this month and early next.

But thanks anyway mate, appreciated.
