Put in a couple of hours of Just Cause 3 last night. It certainly gives you loads of fun tools for blowing shit up but I found myself running out of explodey type ammo pretty quickly and taking out a generator with a machine gun just feels a bit crap. Also, I always seemed to end up running round a location like a twat searching for the last billboard or fuel tank or something which is annoying; does the game actually guide you towards these in some way and I'm just being a blind idiot? Either way, I suspect the repetitiveness of it all will kill it for me before I'm anywhere close to the end but I don't mind playing it while it's being fun given that it was 'free'. |

For some reason it took me a while to notice as well but it actually shows all the billboards and stuff on the map. |

Yeah, even then they're sometimes tricky to find but you can usually work it out. Pro tip if you're running out of things that explode - steal a helicopter or tank. |

markg wrote: For some reason it took me a while to notice as well but it actually shows all the billboards and stuff on the map. Ah, cool, I'll look out for that. Although it'll get annoying dipping in and out of the map constantly, it would be nice if there was some kind of indicator on the HUD. |

Getting a VR game is quite the surprise, pity it's some multiplayer bollocks. Also, the fact that the studio behind it is effectively dead by Sony's hand means it's a bit of a freebie from their point of view and probably not the start of a trend. Infamous has always seemed like the most generic of generic open world nonsense, though I'd be happy to hear good stuff from anyone who's actually played it instead of my witless mutterings? Hatoful Boyfriend looks cool and I'll definitely be giving it a shot. Though I worry that as a sort of satire of dating games it'll still include too much of the genre conventions to hook me. We Are Doomed I know nothing of: what's it's deal then? |

Oh, and Child of Light: played the demo ages ago, hated it. It wasn't really my type of game though and I was in the minority in not liking it so I reckon most people will think it a good addition. |

I liked it - but it had the benefit of being one of the first big open world games on the PS4 and has some really nice graphical effects for the powers (i remember the firework one being really good) , however this was in the first few months after the PS4's launch and I dont know how well it will have aged. Its also one of those games that once you've played through once (or until you get bored of it) thats it - you'll never go back to it Photo mode was also a 'new' thing for this and was highly praised at the time http://kotaku.com/infamous-second-sons- ... 1564469007 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014- ... od-entries https://www.giantbomb.com/forums/infamo ... r-1481263/ I also never really 'got' child of light so very little for me on there this month (although like you I'm interested in Hatoful (pigeon boyfriend sim!) - although to be fair i'd be interested in anything by Devolver https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2017/08 ... -of-light/ Quote: inFAMOUS: Second Son (PS4)

Ah. ps3 owners had more than enough aaa games, didn';t they? would have liked to try the psvita version of handball 2016 btw.. always wonder if those 'smaller sports' games are fun (apparantly rugby the world cup was horrible? (see Rugby Challenge, International http://worldofstuart.excellentcontent.c ... /rugby.htm ) i think btw they have positioned That's you a bit differenly anyway than a normal psn game , more communication etc.. next to it being available for a longer time.. but pigeons.. interesting |

So, Hatoful Boyfriend's a hell of a thing then. At the same time, it's somehow much more and much less weird than I was expecting because for a lot of it you're just doing school stuff and talking to folk; except sometimes you remember that the 'folk' are all different types of pigeon. To get a single ending only really takes about 20 minutes but apparently ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view! Also: whenever the dialogue would usually say "everybody" or "anybody" it instead says "everybirdie" and "anybirdie". Incredible. |

Heh, and I was just warming up to the possibility of finally playing my physical copy of that MSG game. Hue looks like my kind of thing (and may even already be on my Steam wishlist) and I'll likely give Amnesia a shot seeing as it's there. |

Huh, for some reason while reading about this elsewhere I've only just realised that it's not the 'teaser' MSG game we're getting here but the full-fat entire MSGV experience. I assumed they'd never give that away for free so just jumped to that conclusion in my head. Which begs the question: do I play my disc copy of Ground Zeroes before moving onto this or just go straight for The Phantom Pain? Or not even bother TPP? I confess that the alleged size of TPP puts me off as I'm not sure I can be arsed spending that amount of time playing it. |

But since TPP is a 50 hour+ opus from start to finish and you’ve got the staying power of a disgraced MP, then I wouldn’t bother if I were you. You can enjoy what’s on offer without knowing a bit more of the backstory. You get a recap of sorts at the beginning anyway. |

I was only joshing you -and not on any competence at videogames (whatever that means). I was interested in “the story” - not least the proper ending which blew my mind having played GZ and TPP fairly comprehensively and avoided any spoilers. The main game story isn’t anything special but it is typical Kojima crazy. |

I reference being shit at games because, after my whining about The Last of Us, myp made it into a bit of a meme that I just suck at games. An accusation that's not entirely baseless to be fair. |

Sky Force Anniversary. The only people who seem to be playing it from my friends list are Zardoz and Zoidberg. It's great, it reminds me a touch of SWIV. But I appear to either be terrible at it or it doesn't log stats when I'm not online (i generally play on the train so am not connected then). The loading screens display your comparative performance against your peers. I am forever gazing up at MrZardoz, as the machine tells me he has collected 14,000 stars compared with my 120. He really loves those stars. |

I enjoyed Sky Force for the time it took me to get through the first few levels but then I hit a star limit so I couldn't unlock the next one and so fucked it right off. I didn't expect to play it for too long anyway but that sort of grindy structure in a shoot em up is no use to me. |

Still dissapointed in the lack of good vertical shmups on ps4. Weird that i have to start my Amierican console ( 360) to play such a japanese genre. |
