ext month, PlayStation Plus will reach its 4th anniversary. It’s evolved a great deal since its inception, providing our PS Plus members with exclusive discounts, beta access and even select games early, as well as, of course, great games to play through our Instant Game Collection. As our members have grown with us from our introduction on PS3, PS Vita and now PS4, together we’ve built a really strong global community of gamers.

PlayStation Plus has been an essential part of PlayStation 4, providing access to next-gen online multiplayer and a steady stream of great games including Resogun, Outlast and Don’t Starve. Since we are always looking to continue the evolution of PS Plus as a service that really serves our community, we are excited to provide a more balanced set of games each month within the Instant Game Collection. As you’ll see below, starting in June, members will now have access to two titles per month for each of our platforms.

Since we’ve seen how excited many of you are to download Instant Game Collection titles as soon as they’re available, we’ve decided to adjust the length of time each title will be available. Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month.

In the coming weeks, you’ll see that several of the titles that have had a nice, long stint in the Instant Game Collection will be phased out, so if you’re new to the service and haven’t had a chance to download all of the titles available through PS Plus — or if you’ve been thinking about subscribing but haven’t yet — now is the perfect time to get all the great games available with PS Plus.

Anyway, without further ado, read on to find out what’s coming to the service next month.
New on PlayStation 4:

First up this month on PS4 comes a real gem from the incredible development teams at Q-Games and Double 11. Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate is a twin stick shooter that is as much about blasting things as it is about exploration and puzzle-solving.

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate combines the campaigns of Shooter 1 and 2 into a single package with new features and optimisations. It’s a highly addictive game and with a platinum trophy to collect I’m certain this will keep you entertained throughout June.

Next up this month on PS4, let your imagination run wild in a beautiful fairy-tale land, avoiding danger at every turn as you solve mysterious puzzles in the award-winning Trine 2: The Complete Story. The 12 Days of Christmas special offers were pretty disappointing in the main if you're a PS4 owner. CoD, Destiny and Far Cry 4 for £40? Wow, really spoiling us.

And to top it off most of them are in the January sale for the same price too.

Worth noting that if you've not been buying the PS4 games via a website you should be. That looks like 2 games I want to play that I will have now. Well done on making buying a PS4 inevitable Sony. Talking of the other, MercKings is becoming a cross-play title when it launches on Vita. So I'll have it for that too.

Trine 2 is done and Pixeljunk Shooter is well on the way.

I am cancelling when my sub runs out. I've got about four games in my PS+ backlog to get through and then I'm done as I'm not getting value for money any longer. One crappy 3DS Lego port a month is not helping either.

Me too. I haven't had time to play any of it anyway, and most of the ones I have in my backlog are available for next to nothing on PC, indeed I already have many of them through various bundles.

So I've been playing Crysis 3 off and on since it was on PS+ (and now it's off). It's been billed as a mix of the best of Crysis and Crysis 2. Turns out that the best bits of Crysis were the bits with the monsters taut everyone hated and the best bits of Crysis 2 were the linear corridor environments that everyone hated. But hey, it's also got the other best bits of Crysis - the vehicles (actually they were a pretty good edition)! And they've been crammed into the best bits of Crysis 2 - the linear corridor! YES! And they know that we loved those vehicles to create EMERGENT GAMEPLAY (registered TM of The Industry) so why not shove those vehicle sections into two very short corridors so that they are a near completely useless edition. Nah, it's a mess this. I don't like it. It's just Crysis 2 again and that weren't a patch on Crysis. And the story is garbage. Still, I might as well finish it cause, y'know, the 52 Challenge.

Very decent bunch!

There's no less than 5 PS Vita games to download this month: The Hungry Horde (no idea) The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (apparently very good) Luftrausers (apparently very good) Steam world dig (apparently very good) And Escape Plan (I played the demo and was very close to buying it) So there you go, there's no games to play on the PS Vita. Apart from these free ones.

Escape Plan may have been gash but Steamworld Dig is very very compulsive. It's Mr Driller meets, erm, Boulderdash and, another game it reminds me of. Dig Dug? Nope. Erm, anyway, if you have a Vita and PS+ then I consider that this is a must download. In fact, it might be worth a few pennies if you haven't got it. Actually I think it's been cheap on Steam too. Get it on your favourite thing that you like to play things on.

What about this? Did anyone also play that western multiplayer shooter on PS4? Can you remember the name? Can I? Can I fuck? It's pretty decent though, isn't it? Shame the lobby is so facking slow though, aye? If it's load a game faster I might play the bloody thing more than once. Bugger.

The 12 Days of Christmas special offers were pretty disappointing in the main if you're a PS4 owner. CoD, Destiny and Far Cry 4 for £40? Wow, really spoiling us. And to top it off most of them are in the January sale for the same price too.
