Possibly , I've only had PS+ since around July last year so must have missed out on that - there are plenty of other titles to choose from :-)

I was shortly going to be buying Muramasa, rather glad I delayed that, then.

I've been staring at that on the store for a while now. I was close to getting it on the Wii right up until I forgot about it. Well done PS+!

I picked up Stick it to the Man a while back and it's probably going to be the next game I start.

Worth noting that if you've not been buying the PS4 games via a website you should be. That looks like 2 games I want to play that I will have now. Well done on making buying a PS4 inevitable Sony.

Talking of the other, MercKings is becoming a cross-play title when it launches on Vita. So I'll have it for that too.

2 games per platform from June onwards

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/05/ ... xeljunk-2/

Quote:
PlayStation Plus in June: NBA 2K14, Trine 2, Dragon’s Crown, Pixeljunk, more

Lone Survivor and Surge Deluxe also join the service next week

ext month, PlayStation Plus will reach its 4th anniversary. It’s evolved a great deal since its inception, providing our PS Plus members with exclusive discounts, beta access and even select games early, as well as, of course, great games to play through our Instant Game Collection. As our members have grown with us from our introduction on PS3, PS Vita and now PS4, together we’ve built a really strong global community of gamers.

PlayStation Plus has been an essential part of PlayStation 4, providing access to next-gen online multiplayer and a steady stream of great games including Resogun, Outlast and Don’t Starve. Since we are always looking to continue the evolution of PS Plus as a service that really serves our community, we are excited to provide a more balanced set of games each month within the Instant Game Collection. As you’ll see below, starting in June, members will now have access to two titles per month for each of our platforms.

Since we’ve seen how excited many of you are to download Instant Game Collection titles as soon as they’re available, we’ve decided to adjust the length of time each title will be available. Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month.

In the coming weeks, you’ll see that several of the titles that have had a nice, long stint in the Instant Game Collection will be phased out, so if you’re new to the service and haven’t had a chance to download all of the titles available through PS Plus — or if you’ve been thinking about subscribing but haven’t yet — now is the perfect time to get all the great games available with PS Plus.

Anyway, without further ado, read on to find out what’s coming to the service next month.
New on PlayStation 4:

First up this month on PS4 comes a real gem from the incredible development teams at Q-Games and Double 11. Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate is a twin stick shooter that is as much about blasting things as it is about exploration and puzzle-solving.

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate combines the campaigns of Shooter 1 and 2 into a single package with new features and optimisations. It’s a highly addictive game and with a platinum trophy to collect I’m certain this will keep you entertained throughout June.

Next up this month on PS4, let your imagination run wild in a beautiful fairy-tale land, avoiding danger at every turn as you solve mysterious puzzles in the award-winning Trine 2: The Complete Story. Don’t forget, you can take advantage of co-op multiplayer for up to three players in this epic adventure so grab your friends and get online.

Trine 2
New on PlayStation 3:

First up on PS3 this month, NBA 2K14 slam dunks its way onto PlayStation Plus. IGN believe this to be the best basketball simulator ever giving it a whopping 8.9 out of 10 and I won’t disagree! To ensure you make the most of your game, get online and face off against rival squads.

NBA

Next up on PS3 is the Cross-Buy psychological survival horror Lone Survivor (Director’s Cut). You play as a masked protagonist who must escape from a city ravaged by disease. Starving and exhausted, you begin to question how much of what you see is even real.

The choice of how to survive is up to you. Sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in your path. Search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. Look after your mental health, or descend into madness…

New on PS Vita

Dragon’s Crown is your first offering this month on PS Vita. Be prepared to be thrust into a fantastical medieval world packed with labyrinthine dungeons to explore, vile monstrosities to smite, and nearly endless online adventure. Your mission is to dive into the dank underworld, uncovering treasure and strengthening your mettle as you unlock the secret behind the ancient dragon threatening the world.

Last but certainly not least make sure you pick up the electrifying Surge Deluxe from the team at Futurlab. This is a highly addictive block matching puzzle game where you need to be lightning fast to compete!

Expanded from the original release of Surge, this Deluxe version adds in a new Combiner block for higher multiplayers in strategic play and a new Chain Linker block for longer chain connections! Trust us – this one is very hard to put down.

In summary

Leaving PS Plus:

30th May: Stick it to the Man
30th May: Payday 2
30th May: Brothers A Tale of Two Sons
30th May: Muramasa Rebirth
30th May: Everybody’s Golf

Entering PS Plus:

4th June: Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate (Cross Buy)
4th June: Trine 2: The Complete Story
4th June: NBA 2K14
4th June: Lone Survivor (Cross Buy)
4th June: Dragon’s Crown
4th June: Surge Deluxe

Don’t miss out! Make sure add any of the games scheduled to leave the service to your download list now to ensure you get to play them!

Not a PlayStation Plus member? Then join today from just £5.49/€6.99 per month. To find out more visit our PlayStation Plus site .

Remember, if you’ve not got access to your PS4, PS3 or PS Vita then you can also buy through our online store.

Very odd, the Vita happily downloaded the two new games today, but the PS4 says no (DNS error or something like that).

Did you get the new firmware update ?

Mine refused to connect to the store until it had installed (1.71)

Yep, I already had 1.71 installed. The problem seems to have gone away of its own accord since around midday. Trine 2 is done and Pixeljunk Shooter is well on the way.

I am cancelling when my sub runs out. I've got about four games in my PS+ backlog to get through and then I'm done as I'm not getting value for money any longer. One crappy 3DS Lego port a month is not helping either.

Me too. I haven't had time to play any of it anyway, and most of the ones I have in my backlog are available for next to nothing on PC, indeed I already have many of them through various bundles.

So I've been playing Crysis 3 off and on since it was on PS+ (and now it's off).

It's been billed as a mix of the best of Crysis and Crysis 2. Turns out that the best bits of Crysis were the bits with the monsters taut everyone hated and the best bits of Crysis 2 were the linear corridor environments that everyone hated.

But hey, it's also got the other best bits of Crysis - the vehicles (actually they were a pretty good edition)! And they've been crammed into the best bits of Crysis 2 - the linear corridor! YES! And they know that we loved those vehicles to create EMERGENT GAMEPLAY (registered TM of The Industry) so why not shove those vehicle sections into two very short corridors so that they are a near completely useless edition.

Nah, it's a mess this. I don't like it. It's just Crysis 2 again and that weren't a patch on Crysis. And the story is garbage.

Still, I might as well finish it cause, y'know, the 52 Challenge.

An eclectic bunch of games this month. Loving Pix the Cat (from that iOS game - Pix-something) for some reason; getting into Spelunky; Dungeons & Dragons is a pretty ace side scrolling beat em up in the vein of Golden Axe and Dust is definitely NOT that game where you raise the floor God-sim but more like Muramasa with some gorgeous hand drawn art and well voiced slashy game, that's a bit easy.

Very decent bunch!

First 'big' PS4 game for PS+ in December

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/11/ ... ing-extra/

Quote:

Hi everyone. Before we get into the details on November’s new PS Plus games, we understand many of you are waiting for DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologise that the game is not yet ready to launch. We want you to know that we’re committed to providing DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the team at Evolution Studios is working hard to make it a reality.

In the meantime, we want to make sure you still have some amazing free games to play throughout the holidays. As you may already have read, in the month of November we’ll have The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Steamworld Dig on PS4, Frozen Synapse Prime and Luftrausers on PS3, and The Hungry Horde and Escape Plan on PS Vita.

Beyond that, in December we’re adding Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Secret Ponchos to PS4′s IGC line up. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is the first AAA Blu-ray title to join the Instant Game Collection for PS4, and we think you’re going to love it. Then in January, we’re adding inFAMOUS First Light and The Swapper for PS4. We will still add DRIVECLUB to the PS Plus line up when it becomes available.

December

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
Secret Ponchos
More TBC

January

inFAMOUS: First Light
The Swapper

There's no less than 5 PS Vita games to download this month:

The Hungry Horde (no idea)
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (apparently very good)
Luftrausers (apparently very good)
Steam world dig (apparently very good)
And Escape Plan (I played the demo and was very close to buying it)

So there you go, there's no games to play on the PS Vita.

Apart from these free ones.

Escape Plan may have been gash but Steamworld Dig is very very compulsive. It's Mr Driller meets, erm, Boulderdash and, another game it reminds me of. Dig Dug? Nope. Erm, anyway, if you have a Vita and PS+ then I consider that this is a must download.

In fact, it might be worth a few pennies if you haven't got it. Actually I think it's been cheap on Steam too. Get it on your favourite thing that you like to play things on.

Did anyone play that fighting game based on superheroes or some shit? Can someone tell me why Batman punches like such a mincing gaylord?

It's pretty terrible ain't it?

Anymore questions?

What about this?

Did anyone also play that western multiplayer shooter on PS4? Can you remember the name? Can I? Can I fuck? It's pretty decent though, isn't it? Shame the lobby is so facking slow though, aye? If it's load a game faster I might play the bloody thing more than once. Bugger.

The 12 Days of Christmas special offers were pretty disappointing in the main if you're a PS4 owner. CoD, Destiny and Far Cry 4 for £40? Wow, really spoiling us.

And to top it off most of them are in the January sale for the same price too.

The 12 Days of Christmas special offers were pretty disappointing in the main if you're a PS4 owner. CoD, Destiny and Far Cry 4 for £40? Wow, really spoiling us.

And to top it off most of them are in the January sale for the same price too.

I think the only one I picked up was Freedom Wars for vita - there are a few things in the January sales which look reasonable although again those are more Vita than PS4

Chariot and Valiant Hearts are probably the two main PS4 things on the list so far that I'm interested in

Yknow, I've never played Duke Nukem. "Astonishing" I'm sure you're all thinking. "Who hasn't played that" you might be saying. "What a dick" you might whisper under your breath. Well, I have downloaded it on PC AND I tried to set up the controls on the 360 pad but I couldn't find a happy spot with the controls. I couldn't look up and down without it being too twitchy or not twitch enough. Yeah, I tried the mouse and keys but I couldn't be arsed with it after all these years of using a controller. "What a dick" you might now say out loud in my face. I wouldn't disagree.

I don't think I'd bother if I were you.

It hasn't held up so well, frankly.

(And for what it's worth, mouse wasn't exactly a common input method for 'doom-clones' then, anyway. In that I'm the only person in my then group of friends who used it, and it didnt work out of the box. So pad on top of that... Yeah, no.)

Doom works great on a pad, though.

On versions ported to it, aye. On the original it's likely more of a pain.

It also called for a tad less accuracy, although it was only really about Unreal Tournament when that particularly became an issue.

Extraordinarily clunkily?

Unsurprising, as that's how it looked.
