A good OS should be practically invisible. When you notice it, it's probably doing something wrong. |

Heh, I was just about to suggest that very version; I like the weird brevity of it. Also, I feel validated that even my punctuation instinct manages to massively piss you off. It doesn't even make any sense. It does, it's the same use of an apostrophe as in contractions like "isn't" or "doesn't". The apostrophe is standing in place of the extra 's' so you don't have to write the ugly "OSs". |

LOL WHUT It's used to denote possession, not a contraction! It would be instead of "OS's", if anything. But it's shit and clunky. "OS's" is so much nicer. I also hate it when people put "James'" instead of "James's", for example. |

I'd vote for just OSs then; OSes looks weird and the 'e' is needless. |

'ere people. I like Outlook. Y'know, the thing that everyone uses at work? What I don't like is using Outlook on Windows 8 and then I click on an email link in someone's email and Window's kicks me out of Outlook and opens the email in Windows own gayboy email client thing. What's that about and how'd I stop it doing that sheeet. I've tried a bloody google search but using the words Windows/Outlook brings up so much rubbish that's I'm struggling to define my actual problem so I get an answer to my sodding problem. As the above will attest! |

Did I mention that I swapped to 8.1 a month or so ago? Well, I did. It's fairly good. By which I mean: once I've logged in and loaded up my normal apps, I don't really notice it. Cost about £30, too. |

I upgraded to 8.1 too. The only thing I have noticed is a start button and the search is slightly different. |

Interesting, I was expecting "Windows 9" but 10 is a surprise Shows they need to put more distance between this and Windows 8 than they needed to for Vista\Windows 7 So why not use an extra number! For the last 15 years I've run MS beta OS for months before the final release, I still only have Windows 8 on a surface pro, the rest of my home devices are Windows 7. Try as I might I just don't like it, and I do make an effort, every 2 or 3 months I chastise myself for not using the latest OS whilst working in IT, so stick it on a laptop only to do fuck all with it |
