Prince is dead...? Bloody hell. OK I wasn't into his music, but "When Doves Cry" meant a lot to me at the time, I was 16 and going through some bad, bad times; it resonated somewhat. RIP

Another shocker, not a massive Prince fan but I went to see him when we were given free tickets when he last played Manchester and he was bloody brilliant. What a performer, 2 and half hours belting out all the hits. Another big loss.

A cause of death was not immediately given but TMZ reported that he had been treated for a drugs overdose days before his death.
