Really? Depression and attention seeking go fairly hand in hand, at times.

Quite, and of course then there's the flip side where if people don't like your public persona once you've put it out there to readers/viewers/etc and they let you know this it also has a chance of triggeting depression.

Well the rumour mill here is certainly working overtime, there's a thread on a local forum where any conjecture posts are being 'dealt with'. (Understandable really, the hosts have been done (expensively) for libel in the past.)

Facebook tends to avoid such censorship though.

Overall it seems he was actually a pretty nice guy and not like the cartoon character his Apprentice appearance had suggested (and he had an admirably self-deprecating sense of humour about that stuff anyway).

It'll be officially revealed in reasonably short order anyway.

You cannot libel dead people in the UK. I dunno about in Forrin where you are though.

The libel was for someone who was very much alive.

As for the Baggs situation, with the IOM being what it is (small), it's more a case of the mods don't want a load of rumour and conjecture on a local public forum that will most likely be read by friends and family of the deceased.

That's what Facebook is for, apparently.

They guy could have just been very unlucky and had a heart defect or something.

Or maybe he was into drugs\drinking and had an accident

He had just launched a new hub or something so on the face of it shouldn't have had any reason to hurt himself. I guess you never know what the pressures of the finances\bussiness that these guys live with though.

Overall its a great shame and 27 is no age to die whatever the circumstances

Shame. Can't say I was ever a big fan and personally found her quite annoying but she was a decent lass.

These wrestlers seem to die quite young too. Shame about Roddy he was absolutely epic in They Live.

RIP to both :)

I met him when I was a kid, he was doing a show at the Sherman theatre in Cardiff and staying with my aunt and uncle who ran the bar. Didn't recognise him at all without his 'tache, but then I was only about 10 or 11 at the time.

She must have been dead half my life, then. You know those big events that everyone remembers? This isn't one. I knew she must have died at some point between me being 11 and about 25-26, but I have never been able to recall at what age, even roughly, I might have been.

I remember it being on the radio, and someone telling me that 'The Princess of Wales' had died, but I had no idea who the princess of Wales was. If they'd said princess Diana, I'd have comprehended better as she was all over the news because of having sex in Harrods, and rugby, but I didn't realise they were the same person at the time.

I can remember exactly where I was, Manchester Airport doing some shop fitting on a load of new bars in what was an extension to one of the airside terminals. It was a Sunday and as I had the "airside" drivers pass I had agreed to pick these contractors up each morning

When I went to pick them up one of them told me and I was shocked. As it was a Sunday and long before the internet had taken off you only had Sunday papers that were printed hours before to get news from, they had nothing as they had been printed before she has been confirmed as dead

Odd how we all had to work a full day before we went home and turned on the TV to see the updates. These days you have updates all the time on any sort of news.

Was never a huge fan but it made me sad for a while for some reason.

I remember it as being significant for one of the first major pieces of news I learned from the internet rather than the telly.

I turned my PC on and logged into a Yahoo chat room - (can't remember much about it at all, a UK based general blabber one or something, was that a thing? I genuinely can't remember) - and all the chat in there was about the death of Princess Di.

'It's a bad day for Mercedes' - said one wag in there.

Turned on the telly and true enough it was all over the news of course.

Cue all that shite with people crying in the streets and blubbing all over the place, like it mattered or something.
